Miranda Lambert has a pretty nice life. She’s a well-acclaimed country artist, one who also happened to marry The Voice judge and country artist Blake Shelton in 2011 after five years of dating. Things seem to be pretty great on the home front and even greater in the studio for the singer, with Lambert’s song “Run Daddy Run” recently appearing on the Hunger Games soundtrack. Unfortunately, it seems that sometimes people would rather still point at her voluptuous body than talk about anything else.
The 28 year-old recently appeared in Self for an article in the magazine’s June issue to debunk any rumors she might be unhappy with her body.
"Really skinny actresses make me hungry. I see them and think, 'Honey, you need to eat!' I'm lucky I don't have to live like that."
The singer seems perfectly happy with her looks, especially enjoying her big bottom, but she does believe in maintaining a healthy diet and trying to stay as fit as possible.
"I feel my best when I'm a toned, not flabby, size 8. I'm a confident person overall. Though like any other girl, I have insecurities."
A size 8 is pretty small and not a size to worry over. However, like many performers, there are some random worries Lambert still harbors. For instance, she says hunger often will creep up on her after one of her intensive shows. The singer says she has been able to maintain her weight, even with the late-night hunger stints, by eating healthy after a performance, instead of grabbing at a cheeseburger or potato chips. Whatever Lambert seems to be doing has been working, because, insecurities or no, those curves are confident. As they should be.
