Aside from the death of a beloved celebrity, politician or athlete, there is no story that races around the internet faster than one involving a famous woman and a sex tape. Even if you’re not the type of person who would actually watch one of those clips, there’s still something extremely attention-getting about seeing the words in a headline. You just have to know who the other party is and under what circumstances it may have happened. Pop star Rihanna is the just the latest example, though whether there’s any truth to the purported tape remains a mystery.

It all started this afternoon when adult magazine Hustler released a statement claiming it had gotten its hands on a tape of a sexual encounter between Rihanna and J-Cole. He recently appeared in her video for “Can’t Get Enough” and served as her official opener on the Loud tour earlier this year. In response to the allegations, Rihanna took to Twitter to deny the sex tape’s existence.
We don't believe U, U need more people...AND ofcourse an actual sextape! #slownewsday

According to E! Online, Hustler is still sticking by its original press release, but it hasn’t decided when or if it will release the footage. Of course, to sell a tape, you normally need consent from at least one party involved and a willingness to pay a slew of royalties. I doubt either Rihanna or J-Cole would have willingly parted with video evidence of this tryst or willingly gave it to a third party, but stranger things have happened.
