You know Robert Pattinson best from the Twilight saga; but he got his big break in the rival Harry Potter series. Today the actor turns twenty-five years old, and the biggest question will most assuredly be, what’s next? With the last Twilight film ready to be released, the Water For Elephants star will have to start looking for a new source of income; because god knows he didn’t make enough on these vampire films.

While Pattinson hadn’t actually read any of the Potter books, as he told MSNBC, “What’s the point of reading?!?” - that hasn’t stopped him from starring in at least four literary based films, including Twilight, Harry Potter, Water For Elephants, and the upcoming film Bel Ami. What’s the point of reading? Well, without it you’d be out of a job, bro.

He was born and raised in London, England in 1986, and began modeling when he was 12 years old. When that work began to dry up, Pattinson tried his hand at acting with mixed results until he landed the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was all uphill after that, as he landed the coveted role of Edward Cullen in 2008.

Pattinson’s career is one that will be watched with great interest and covered with much enthusiasm, so happy birthday, Robert. Go get drunk at a pub, because isn’t that what British people do? Or is that the Irish? Eh, if only I had read that geography book in high school…
