Round Four: Ex-Elmo Puppeteer Kevin Clash Hit With Another Lawsuit

Kevin Clash was hit with another lawsuit today. The fourth accuser and third to file a lawsuit claims the Elmo puppeteer met him in Miami Beach when he was just sixteen or seventeen. After developing a platonic relationship and staying in touch, Clash reportedly convinced the unidentified alleged victim to visit him in New York. During the trip, the two reportedly had oral and anal sex on multiple occasions.

According to E! Online, the new accuser, identified only as S.M. in the court papers, has retained Jeff Herman as legal representation, the same litigator who is representing the other two supposed victims. He’s reportedly seeking a minimum of $75,000 in damages for “continuing and permanent” trauma suffered as a result of the sexual encounters that happened that weekend.

Michael Berger, the attorney representing Clash, has already released a statement bashing the newest allegations against his client and saying they’re completely without merit. A settlement was already reached with the first man who came forward, but as of press time, it’s unclear if Clash has any interest in negotiating with the men who subsequently came forward following that deal.

For the time being, it looks like these cases could stretch forward for months or even years. Now that Sesame Street is officially moving forward without Clash, he will have time to defend himself with any resources or in anyway he sees fit. We’ll keep you updated on the progress.
