You have to make sure not to invest too much in celebrity marriages, given the massive likelihood that they will fail-- even if you thought Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were a good-looking match made in heaven, you had to at least be prepared when they split just months later. But sometimes there are famous people who you just like, as if they were your friend from college or the friendly waiter at your favorite restaurant; when those people get married, you can't help but say "Mazel Tov" to yourself and wish them the best.

That's my explanation, at least, for why I feel so happy to see in People that Seth Rogen got married over the weekend, the same weekend that his new movie 50/50 opened in theaters, as it turns out. The bride is actress and writer Lauren Miller, whom Rogen met when they were both writing for Da Ali G Show back in 2004; when he was the first guest on Conan back in November, he described proposing to her while she was changing clothes in their house and was topless. Check out the hilarious story in the video below.

The wedding took place in Sonoma, California on Saturday, and guests included Jonah Hill, Adam Sandler, Paul Rudd and of course, Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann. Maybe it's residual happiness about the wonderful 50/50, maybe it's having liked Rogen since he was on Freaks and Geeks 10 years ago, but I"m just feeling especially thrilled for the happy couple. L'chaim!
