When it comes to asking women to dances, there are three different types of men: those already in a relationship with a guaranteed date, those who always make the safe proposition and those who swing wildly for the fences. Let the record show I endorse swinging for the fences. Apparently, Marine Sergeant Scott Moore does too.

The proud member of the 3rd Battalion serving in Afghanistan took to YouTube on Thursday, not to invite the hottest member of his company but to ask one of the hottest women in the world. In a taped message directed toward former That 70s Show star Mila Kunis, the soldier implores her to accompany him to the Marine Corps Ball on November 18th in Greenville, North Carolina. Take a look at his effort below…

You would expect an anonymous soldier to put a little more thought and effort into his Casanova-like attempt, but obviously, Sergeant Scott Moore has elected to go the cocky and confident route, almost as if assuming she'd obviously want to jettison from Los Angeles to North Carolina to spend an evening with him. It's a bold strategy, but I like where his head is at. Groveling and pleading for a woman to attend a dance with you is never good policy.

It remains to be seen whether Mila Kunis will take him up on his invitation, but I'd imagine she likely feels both flattered and annoyed. Saying no to a brave man fighting for our country isn't exactly like politely rejecting some nice man from work. Next to a crippled child, a soldier is about as high as anyone on the sympathy scale.
