Remember Jane Pratt? No? That’s OK – most people do not. However, those of us who swim regularly in the deep end of the gossip pool recollect Pratt as the former sassy editor of ‘Sassy’ and the former Jane editor of ‘Jane’, as well as the host of her eponymous afternoon talker. Back in the day, when she was still of interest, she appeared on The Howard Stern Show. On one show from 1997, she revealed…nothing. The program featured Stern and his buddy from the Enquirer, master celeb spy Mike Walker, who cornered Pratt on rumors that she had possibly done the deed with movie star and fellow female Drew Barrymore. She swore up and down that she never went there; she’d even take a polygraph to prove there had been no sapphic seduction – end of story…

…was the end of story, that is, as Jane Pratt prattled and tattled to the ‘New York Post’ this week: "One of my dreams is to return to Howard's show and tell him the truth about Drew Barrymore and me…. I did have sex with Drew Barrymore." Of course, Howard felt betrayed and demanded she come back and redress the mess. She promised to oblige, but Thursday morning she was a no-show. The King of All Media opened the show announcing that Pratt decided against coming in, so he threw to his callers wondering why. It took but one phoner to discover that it just so happened that Drew Barrymore had just been announced as the newest face of ‘CoverGirl’ beauty products, a division of Proctor & Gamble, an organization that is not fond of controversy. It looked as if Jane tried to save that face, that face, that new CoverGirl face from an early exit… end of story…

…was the end of story, that is, as it now appears that Ms. Jane is saving Drew's sex-scapade for mention on her own Sirius show just kicked off last month, according to numerous tongue-waggers around the 'net.

Jane Pratt you are STILL so sssssassy!
