Woman Splits From Her Husband For Making Anti-Frozen Comments

People love Frozen. A lot. It is, without question, one of the most universally beloved films to come out during my lifetime. For the most part, that’s a good thing, but apparently, there’s at least one fan who has taken her love too far to the extreme. No, she didn’t get a tattoo or build an ice castle in her backyard. Instead, she walked out on her husband for the egregious crime of not liking Frozen enough.

It all sounds too ridiculous to be true, but the sad story has unfolded on an Internet message board for people having marriage problems called Kikonsha no Hakaba. A Danish man living in Japan recently posted a thread about his marriage troubles, and in it, he unfurled the shocking story. Apparently, his wife recently got obsessed with the movie Frozen, which is a gigantic hit in Japan right now. After awhile, she suggested they go see it together. After the film, he told her didn’t really understand what the big deal was, and she allegedly lost it.

Here’s a portion of her translated response, as per RocketNews24

“If you can’t understand what makes this movie great, there’s something wrong with you as a human being!”

You may have guessed time calmed her down a little bit, but she’s allegedly just as worked up as ever. The man claims she moved back in with her parents and is now demanding they split up permanently and get a divorce. She obviously hasn’t spoken on the record to give her take, but the man is assuring everyone there weren’t any problems in the six-year-marriage apart from this Frozen thing, though that seems impossible. There’s probably either a skeleton in that closet somewhere or the man, who makes a very comfortable salary, continually behaves like a joyless pessimist and his Frozen hate pushed that problem over the edge.

Obviously, because we’re dealing with Internet message boards, there’s always the risk people are lying about the entire situation. I certainly wouldn’t put it past random trolls, but for the time being, I’ll choose to believe she really did freak out over Frozen and just couldn’t let it go.
