Irish singer Sinead O’Connor is getting married again. The forty-four year old mother openly complained about not having a mate as recently as six months ago, but apparently, the right candidate stepped in shortly thereafter. She announced the end of her “man hunt” officially in October, and now she and Barry Herridge will walk down the aisle on December 8th.

Where that will take place or who might be invited aren’t known at this juncture. Considering the couple will exchange their I-Do’s tomorrow, it’s unlikely we’ll find out the details prior to the ceremony, but I highly doubt O’Connor would want that anyway. She’s a strange mix of very public with her opinions and somewhat private with her personal life.

An extremely popular and well-known singer in her native Ireland, O’Connor found huge success in the United States in the early ‘90s with her cover of the Prince-written “Nothing Compares 2 U”. The track was voted the 162nd greatest song of all-time by Rolling Stone and continues to receive heavy airplay on adult radio stations. In 1992, O’Connor famously ripped up a picture of the Pope on Saturday Night Live, leading to very public feuds with Madonna and Frank Sinatra.

Pop Blend wishes both O’Connor and Herridge nothing but the best as they move forward as life partners. For an update on how the wedding went, head on over to the singer’s official website in a few days. She tends to be pretty good about keeping her fans informed.
