Very few people seem to casually like Billy Joel. Ask a stranger, pun intended, whether or not he or she is down with the “Piano Man”, and you’re likely to get either a middle of the road meh or an enthusiastic thumbs up. He’s like White Castle in that way. Until this morning, I would have assumed Lindsay Lohan was indifferent about the man formerly married to supermodel Christie Brinkley, but apparently, she’s a really big fan.

The Mean Girls actress and recovering mess just added some ink to her body earlier this week in the form of Billy Joel lyrics. Sampling his 1989 track “I Go To Extremes”, the line Lohan chose was “Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife, I feel like I’m in the prime of my life”. According to TMZ, the body art reportedly represents all she’s been through that’s led her this point. It’s a celebration of being on the right track, and now it’s emblazoned on the right side of her torso.

I’m an enthusiastic thumbs up on tattoos provided people get something personally significant. As there’s nothing inherently cool about twenty year old Billy Joel lyrics, I must say I support this life decision. Critics may argue at some point Lohan won’t be in the prime of her life, but to me, tattoos are a symbol to remind you of exactly where you were at a certain point in your journey.

What do you think? Are you on board with Lindsay’s new tattoo or do you think it’s a bad decision? Sound off by voting in the poll below…
