A Chicago weather man (Cage), separated from his wife and children, debates whether professional and personal success are mutually exclusive.
People throw garbage on Nic Cage… if only the plot were what is indicated by the poster. Partly cloudy with a chance of falling yogurt. How’s that for a forecast?
Cage has been consistently fantastic in really mediocre or in some way flawed films for years now. I don’t see that changing any time soon. He was brilliant in Matchstick Men, but the movie’s ending dropped the ball. He’s stellar in Lord of War, but the film gets too preachy and loses it’s way. Cage keeps picking unique, and interesting projects for fantastic directors, but none of them ever seem to follow through. I expect more of the same from The Weather Man.
