Fighting Dirty: Top 7 Weapons Movie Characters Have Used To Kill Aliens![]() If you are going to do an Block sequel, it would make sense to have it begin minutes after the first one ends, with the exhausted street rats having to muster the strength to respond to, as Cornish says, the next wave of alien attackers. You could easily go bigger, expanding into more recognizable parts of London.

Attack The Block Director Joe Cornish Talks Sequels, TV Spin Offs And A U.S. Remake![]() On top of being an incredibly innovative spin on the alien invasion genre, Attack the Block is simply an extraordinary achievement for Joe Cornish as this is his first directing venture. A seasoned screenwriter, Cornish opted to wait until he amassed enough know-how to get behind the lens and apparently the plan worked because Attack the Block is not to be missed.

NYCC Video Interview: Joe Cornish Talks Designing The Aliens In Attack The Block![]() This is a rare one for me. Thanks to some incredible luck, I already had the chance to see Attack The Block at this year’s Los Angeles Film Festival. That said, this movie is awesome enough that I’m more than happy to report all of the events and see footage from the film again here in Hall H at the San Diego Comic Con.

Comic Con 2011: Live Blogging The Attack The Block Panel![]() All told, Attack the Block is an insane amount of fun and will, in all likelihood, end up being the best action film of the year. Following its premiere at the SXSW Film Festival and multiple screenings in Los Angeles and New York, the movie has been garnering plenty of buzz by word of mouth. LAFF '11: Attack The Block Review![]() As a film critic/journalist living in Los Angeles, I get to go to and see a lot of really amazing things, but there is something I feel as though I am truly missing out on: Attack The Block. Practically every metropolitan critic that I know (including our own Katey Rich) has seen the British action comedy and has left the theater absolutely raving about it.

Attack The Block Gets A Red Band Trailer![]() You may recognize Shaun of the Dead's Nick Frost in there among the young unknown British actors; he plays a pot dealer who's friendly with a gang of thuggish kids who witness the beginnings of an alien invasion and have to protect their neighborhood from the hostile hordes

The festival is known for sniffing out movies with a strong visual flair and a penchant for cinematic geekery. SXSW Review: Attack The Block Could Be The Best Action Movie Of The Year![]() Later this month sees the release of two alien invasion movies. The first is Battle: Los Angeles, a heavy action film that is basically a war movie where the enemy happens to be extraterrestrials. The very next week, Paul arrives in theaters, a funny buddy comedy involving an alien and a road trip.
