Celebrity couples have a way of fascinating the public; just look at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce or Tom Holland and Zendaya. Another A-lister who has made countless headlines over her personal life is Jennifer Lopez, whose divorce from Ben Affleck was finalized back in January of 2025. The pop star/actress has been keeping busy, recently celebrating the release of Office Romance for those with a Netflix subscription. Now rumors are swirling that her chemistry with co-star Brett Goldstein extended off set.

JLo is a rom-com icon, so fans were thrilled to see her return to the genre opposite the Ted Lasso star in Office Romance. An alleged insider spoke to Us Weekly about the two actors and the romantic connection they're reportedly sharing IRL. They were quoted claiming:

If this rumor is to be believed, we might have a new Hollywood couple to ship. Goldstein and Lopez were endlessly charming in Office Romance, and it sounds like that dynamic resulted in a casual romantic relationship between the two. We'll have to take this report with a grain of salt for the time being, but the claim that they're hooking up is sure to turn heads.

JLo and Brett Goldstein's chemistry was palpable watching the new Netflix movie, and this insider claims that they formed a genuine connection. They spoke more about how the latter was taken by the "Jenny from the Block" singer, claiming:

Per this individual, things are casual between the two. As such we shouldn't expect them to officially confirm a relationship or for Jennifer Lopez to get yet another engagement ring. Still, it's sweet to hear about what a connection the two allegedly have.

A different reported insider offered another perspective about what's going on between the two Office Romance stars. That person was quoted by saying the following:

Given how beloved both of these stars are, smart money says there are going to be some fans hoping that they start a serious relationship. That might never happen, but these reports are exciting enough to set the internet ablaze. After seeing them onscreen together, there are plenty of fans who would love to see Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein in a bonafide relationship. We'll just have to wait and see if things get more serious between the pair of stars.

Office Romance is streaming now on Netflix as part of the 2026 movie release list. Only time will tell if its stars end up becoming a bonafide couple in the future.

Dancing With The Stars always has the best theme nights, and a fan favorite remains the tear-jerking “Dedication Night.” That proved to be true again this year, with heartfelt performances like Julia Stiles' number dedicated to Heath Ledger that featured several of her 10 Things I Hate About You co-stars. Unfortunately, David Krumholtz, who played Michael Eckman in the film, was notably missing from the reunion, but there’s a good reason for his absence.

After receiving all nines for her performance, including from Carrie Ann Inaba, who has become known for her sometimes aggressive comments, Stiles spoke with ET about how the mini reunion came to be and set the record straight about Krumholtz's absence before anyone could start speculating about a feud on social media.

It’s unclear what HBO show Krumholtz is currently working on, but it could be The Trial of Louise Woodward, which is set to premiere on HBO in 2027. However, the Oppenheimer star currently boasts a slew of upcoming projects despite once considering “quitting” Hollywood, so it’s anyone's guess what could have kept him away. Stiles’s Dancing with the Stars partner Ezra Sosa said it best:

Despite the Save the Last Dance star immediately clearing the air for worried fans, Krumholtz took to his Instagram to further confirm his disappointment at not being able to participate in the touching tribute. Check it out:

As a massive fan of the beloved romantic comedy, I’m glad both Stiles and Krumholtz set the record straight about his absence and that there’s no bad blood between the cast.

In fact, Krumholtz wasn’t actually the only star missing from the tribute, as none of the actors who played adults the film, like Larry Miller, Daryl Mitchell, and Allison Janney, were present either. The latter makes sense since Janney is currently performing on Broadway opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ed Harris, and Stranger Things star Joe Keery. Mitchell’s absence was slightly more curious considering he’s already a part of the ABC family, appearing in the sitcom Shifting Gears.

Still, the tribute to the late Heath Ledger was a moving one, and it was heartwarming to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Larisa Oleynik, Gabrielle Union, Susan May Pratt and Andrew Keegan standing with Stiles. According to the Dancing with the Stars competitor, it was fairly easy to get the cast back together again, too, as they were all eager to appear as long as their fellow actors were also included. There’s something special about a cast sticking together after all these years.

Next week’s episode is one you won’t want to miss, with it being Halloween Night.

There are a lot of strange things that happen in You Can See Everything. The A24 release about Elizabeth Holmes is the talk of the town, and one reason why is just how weird people act in the movie. One story that directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim don’t recount in the movie is Holmes’ partner’s father showing up to her trial every day back in 2021. It’s every bit as strange as anything that happens in what could be the best movie of the year.

The Evans Family Fully Support Holmes

In the movie, we meet Holmes’ parents, but Evans’ parents don’t appear. I didn’t really think much of it until a colleague sent me an old article from NPR about Bill Evans, Billy’s father, and his behavior in the courtroom during Holmes fraud trial. Billy is still sending tweets in Holmes’ name, so I guess it’s not surprising that his father would sit in the courtroom and defend his son’s partner and the mother of his grandchildren. It’s still startling, though.

In the article, it’s said that Bill first hid his identity from reporters, calling himself “Hanson.” The trial happened during the pandemic, so Bill was wearing a mask, and the hotel magnate wasn’t recognized at first. According to the article, Bill (or Hanson) was there to do more than observe:

It honestly sounds a lot like Billy in the movie. Both feel the need to protect Holmes from the media, which, admittedly, makes Billy a little foolish for inviting the filmmakers into their home. Why Bill felt the need to hide his identity is a little odd, though. Did he really think that reporters at one of the most high-profile trials in the last decade weren’t eventually going to figure it out? Of course, Billy and Elizabeth are still maintaining their false narratives about Theranos, so maybe Bill thought he could get away with it.

Eventually, though, a reporter did put it together, as the article goes on to point out:

The story says that Bill “mixed truths and untruths.” That sounds like Billy and Elizabeth, right? Later, when asked about using the name “Hanson” instead of his real name, he claimed Hanson was a nickname. It's incredible how similar his behavior is to his son's and Elizabeth Holmes in the film. Mixing in the truth with half-truths or even lies. Protecting Holmes. Acting weirdly when pressed for answers... I feel like Fielder and Oppenheim could make a sequel about this!

You Can See Everything, which is going into its second weekend of the 2026 movie schedule, is a movie that is grounded in the idea of an unreliable narrator. You learn over the course of the film not to trust anything you see or hear, and reading this bit of information about Billy Evans’ father adds another layer to the onion that is impossible to peel back completely.

Michael Che and Colin Jost consistently bring laughs during “Weekend Update,” but sometimes these jokes get a little more mean-spirited than I saw coming, and sometimes Che even ropes Jost’s wife Scarlett Johansson into the “fun.” (Though she has her own reservations and rules.) The longest-running of these, aka the popular SNL “Joke Swap,” is basically a time-honored tradition at this point, but the two men have pulled many other pranks on each other, both on-air and in their personal lives. So, how did this prank war get started in the first place?

Well, there is a story behind “the war,” and someone finally asked Che about it. You’d have to go all the way back to Jost's 36th birthday in 2018 to get to the bottom of why Che and Jost are so brutal together. Let’s set the stage. Johansson set up a sweet dinner reservation with her husband. Then, Che sent a clown. Here’s what he said on Boardroom Talks:

Che posted a text Jost had sent him with a balloon creation on his head back in 2018, which is how we know this was Jost's 36th. (And also how we know this story is definitely a true one.)

However, what I hadn’t realized was that this was the moment that really ramped things up and spawned all the moments that came after. This includes Che intimidating Jost into thinking he needed to literally shave his head before stopping the bit. One time he tricked Jost into taking a brutal shot at Scarlett Johansson live on the air. One time outside of the office his birthday shoutout to Jost was straight trolling.

There was one time on SNL he even told the audience to stop laughing on “Weekend Update” but only when Jost was telling a joke. I mean balloon hat aside, some of these pranks are brutal.

Honestly, I know Jost also gets in some digs with Che during “Joke Swap,” but now that I’m really thinking about it, a lot of these pranks that tow the line are really coming from Che and not his “Update” partner. Some of them have clearly even gotten Jost into a little bit of trouble with his famous wife.

They are all very funny, of course, but Jost has admitted he’s at a “structural disadvantage” when it comes to the famous segment (and doubtless the prank war in general) during an episode of New Heights, and really only genuinely worried Che once when he made him take some shots at Kendrick Lamar, whom Che loves. There’s always time though, Colin, there's always time.

I never would've guessed a show about Newfoundlanders dealing with a giant squid would be the number one series on Netflix, but hey, the 2026 TV schedule has been full of surprises. This limited series also had another surprise in store, with an ending that completely shifted the genre of the series.

I know there are still upcoming Netflix shows on the horizon, but I daresay this may stand out as one of if not the best we've seen in 2026. I can't recall the last time I went into a series completely fooled by the misunderstood monster premise, but I was totally fooled this time around.

Below Starting Off As A Thriller/Monster Movie Makes The Payoff Even Better

Below isn't the first show to go with the "misunderstood monster" trope. As someone who loved Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein, I'll admit I was a little embarrassed I didn't catch that the giant squid was just protecting its children the entire time.

I'll credit that to the series not being based on a literary classic and the sneaky way it was done. The squid killed Calvin's father, attacked a bunch of ships, and released some sort of chemical into the water that drove the entire village crazy. Take that, throw in a mysterious sea hag, and this thriller measures up to some of the mysteries of the best horror movies.

In the end, this squid isn't anything mystical or supernatural. It's just a massive creature looking to protect its children. Now that it's in its own space, it'll leave everyone be, and the good people of this small little fishing town can go about their business. It's an interesting twist, and a great ending to a saga filled with intrigue.

Could Below Return For Season 2?

Below was a great miniseries, but I can't help but wonder if Netflix will let it stand as a one-off adventure. After all, the ending features Calvin staring out at the water, and there's a real sense that his story is not over. Plus, I'm sure Josh Hartnett would love to keep this show going, given the rave reviews.

Josh Hartnett told Men's Health the story stands well on its own, though he'd be open to exploring the possibility of it continuing. So then, I guess the question people who enjoyed Below should ask is, do we need more from this?

I'm of the opinion that no, Below doesn't need another season. I think the series went to such lengths to demystify the giant squid, and the next step would be to subvert that and reveal that it's actually some supernatural being after all. I wouldn't want to see that, and I think it would diminish the message of the original.

I'm just one person, however, and I'm sure there are others who want to see Below get more episodes. We'll have to wait for news from Netflix one way or another, and for other great shows that are on the way to the platform!

Law Roach has become one of the biggest names in celebrity fashion, especially in connection with all the jaw-dropping looks he’s created for Zendaya. We just found out the stylist really wasn’t a fan of one big red carpet trend that’s been worn by the likes of Megan Fox, Margot Robbie and Jenna Ortega until now.

Law Roach’s Thoughts On The Naked Dress

A lot of celebrities have stepped out in the naked dress lately. The trend is characterized as a gown that’s sheer, flesh-toned or embellished in a way that shows off the wearer’s every curve. When Law Roach was asked on Aspire with Emma Grede about one fashion trend he’d be “happy to never see again,” he mentioned the viral fad with these words:

The naked dress has certainly been all over the place in recent years, but it’s by no means new. It’s been around in different forms across decades and became popularized by Marilyn Monroe, Cher and Kate Moss years ago before turning up so much more in recent years.

Stylist Megan Watkins, once said she thought the naked dress blowing up isn’t just about showing skin for celebs, but because it “captures that perfect balance of daring and chic”. She also thinks it allows those who wear one to feel “both powerful and playful at the same time”.

Has Zendaya Worn The Naked Dress?

Zendaya has flirted with the naked dress before, but as with any time she steps out in high fashion, they’ve always been quite unexpected. Back in 2021 when promoting Dune, she wore a flesh-colored Balmain gown with a thigh-high slit at the Venice Film Festival. Then there was that time she wore a vintage Bob Mackie dress at 2024’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony to induct Cher, who even thought the dress was one of her former ensembles when she saw it.

The always-busy actress also notably wore that breastplate structured gown while doing press for The Odyssey. Each of these examples sort of blurs the lines of what one expects from the naked dress on the red carpet, but certainly falls into being part of this incredibly popular red carpet trend. If Law Roach wasn’t into it before, and perhaps pulling away from styling his clients with that sort of dress before, it sounds like it’s not off his mood board now.

We’ll be curious if the naked dress makes its way into one of Zendaya’s upcoming press tours. Next she’ll be promoting Dune: Part Three before going to film her next movie, which is a sci-fi A24 movie with Ex Machina writer/director Alex Garland. She’s always booked and busy, and so is Law Roach with the remarkable fashion moments he crafts for her.

When it comes to Disney theme parks, one thing that is always certain is the fact that prices will go up. The addition of new attractions, increasing costs, and high demand all make that inevitable. If you’re planning a trip to see Mickey Mouse and his pals in the near future, you know that it’s going to cost a sizable chunk of money. We all basically set our watches by Disney World and Disneyland raising prices in early October every year, for the beginning of the company’s fiscal year. The thing that caught my attention is that now, even the cheapest ticket costs four times the debut price once you recalculate for inflation.

According to AllEars.Net, when the Magic Kingdom at Disney World opened in 1971, an adult ticket cost just $3.50, or what would equal about $29 today. Obviously, the hugely popular Disney theme parks would never leave their ticket prices below $30 today. That’s just not a reasonable expectation. But the $119 price tag for the cheapest ticket (which is actually for Disney’s Animal Kingdom) is four times that amount. Yes, you read that correctly. I’m still shaken to my core about that fact as well.

Disney Prices Are Inevitably Going to Increase, But Four Times The Price Of Opening Day Just Hits Different

Beyond Animal Kingdom’s lowest price of $119, EPCOT’s lowest is $129, while Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are $139, going up to the highest one-day, one-park total of $229. If you’re going to be spending several days at Walt Disney World, you can’t help but think about the cost, and its sobering knowing the stat of it being four times the price of opening day. It’s something that most of us have to take into consideration.

In comparison to that incredibly low $3.50 adult ticket price that’s hard to even fathom now, the federal minimum wage in 1971 was $1.60, so times were very different. Yes, theme park admission is undeniably pricey now and Disney World hotels can get very expensive, but Disney World frequently offers discount promotions on hotel stays, and there are also often ticket discount offers to help combat the increased prices. So it might help potential visitors to do research and see what’s available if they're planning to visit Disney theme parks anytime soon.

Disney Parks Are Still A Popular Destination, Even With The Rising Cost

I still think that a trip to Disney World or Disneyland is absolutely worth it, and I’m not going to lie and pretend any differently. As someone who doesn’t frequent sporting events and who only goes to a handful of live entertainment offerings a year, I budget for theme park trips. Whether it’s visiting the Country Bears at Magic Kingdom in Orlando (who left Disneyland in 2001), or taking a new photo with the same character to mark the passing of time, the Disney parks provide an emotional nostalgia fix that works for me. While I’m never going to get over the fact that ticket prices have jumped four times over the original price in the last 50 years, it will be interesting to see where they’re at in another 50 years.

At this point, Cowboy Camp is legendary in the world of Yellowstone shows, and it’s always fun to hear stories about various casts learning how to ride horses and, well, cowboy. However, on Marshals, their training is a bit different. In fact, Cal actor Logan Marshall-Green didn’t even do Cowboy Camp, but he did tell me about the military training he’s been through.

For context, Marshals’ Belle actress, Arielle Kebbel, went through a Cowboy Camp ahead of the CBS show’s premiere. However, she told me it was only two days, and the rest of their prep was spent doing “weapon training.” Marshall-Green told me during an interview before Season 2 premiered on the 2026 TV schedule that he didn’t do Cowboy Camp at all:

So, Marshall-Green didn’t go through the intense Cowboy Camp the Yellowstone cast did, and he didn’t train like the stars of Dutton Ranch. Plus, incorporating ranching into Cal’s story isn’t exactly easy. He’s too busy running the marshals, and as the actor noted, dealing with his cancer now.

However, that doesn’t mean he didn’t go through detailed training. He did, but military training instead of cowboy lessons. Explaining what exactly they’ve learned going into Season 2, specifically, the Cal actor said:

To break this down a bit, CQB stands for close-quarters battle. This involves conflicts that are sudden and in smaller spaces, and we do see a lot of that on Marshals. According to Trango Systems, these scenarios could involve “room clearing, hallway fighting, trench combat or narrow alley engagements,” and usually the use of firearms is involved too.

The cast specifically works with Ryan Sangster, who is the show’s fight coordinator and Luke Grimes’ stunt double, as well as a military advisor who was a Navy SEAL and Green Beret. Marshall-Green called these advisors “legit guys,” and he noted that they all “want to be great for them.”

It’s no secret that Marshals is very different from every other Yellowstone show. It’s on CBS, it’s a case-of-the-week procedural, and it involves a military aspect that no other program has. It makes sense that their training and their Cowboy Camp (or lack thereof) would be different too.

One of Star Trek's top brass recently spoke out about the future of the franchise, and I can't say I love what I heard. Trevor Roth, COO of Roddenberry Entertainment, spoke about the company's vision for the future of the sci-fi series, and it's what he didn't say that has me most concerned.

Trek is done on the 2026 TV schedule, and while we can expect Starfleet Academy and Strange New Worlds to wrap up in 2027, we don't know much about the future outside of an in-development movie. Variety reports Roth was at Rome's MIA Market and confirmed there is a vision for what the future of the franchise will look like.

It's very interesting that Roth would mention so many Star Trek shows and fail to name any of the ones that have aired in the past decade. Discovery, Picard, Prodigy, Lower Decks, and the aforementioned Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy were all left out of the comment, which has me asking: why?

Discovery, Picard, and Strange New Worlds all had episodes chart on Nielsen's streaming ratings, despite far fewer consumers having a Paramount+ subscription compared to competitors. It's also worth noting that very few Trek shows in general were ratings juggernauts, with many of those shows struggling to find an audience when they were on television.

I'm confused by what Trevor Roth is trying to imply, and I do think there's an implication. He could've easily said "all the Star Trek shows," but instead he specifically pointed to the original series and Rick Berman era. I'd have the same reaction if he praised the Kelvin films, all whilst leaving out all the other great Star Trek movies.

To me, it feels as though there's a growing number of fans who believe rolling back to the Berman era will lead to more success for Star Trek. Those shows struggled back then as well, and its audience struggled to embrace some of its less novel concepts today. Star Trek was created to push forward and challenge the ideas we hold in the modern day, not rehash the stories and lessons we learned three decades ago.

I understand the need for Star Trek to pull in more audiences, but I don't think pandering to an older audience who enjoyed TNG will result in any more fans than it currently has. As we've reported on in the past, the core fandom is dying, and without a young core to keep it going, it's hard to imagine we see Trek reach its 75th anniversary, let alone 100th.

The people with the keys to the kingdom have some big decisions to make, and while I think getting a movie back in theaters is a great first step, I'm not feeling great about what I'm hearing from the television side. I hope as these final shows wrap up, there are some big discussions about the best path forward for television rather than continuing to lean on nostalgia.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Season 15, Episode 3 of Chicago Fire, “Take the Hit,” streaming now with a Peacock subscription.

Chicago Fire continues to turn the heat up on its 15^th season on the 2026 TV schedule, and the latest episode is no exception. Following the addition of several new firefighter candidates, 51 has been more chaotic than usual. Unfortunately for one newbie, Wednesday might have marked his final day not only at the firehouse but in the Chicago Fire Department. But I’m worried about what the fallout will be like for some OGs.

Among the new cast for Season 15 is Shadowhunters star Matthew Daddario. He joined as McCaffrey at the start of the season, but had brought plenty of problems and tension to 51. He’s cocky and doesn’t really get along with the rest of his fellow candidates and superiors, and that only continued in the latest episode, “Take the Hit.” After a call saw firefighter Tony (Anthony Ferraris) getting hospitalized following a pressure surge, Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) eventually found out it was McCaffrey who slipped up and touched the gas valve. Even despite receiving warning not to during the chemical fire.

The two confronted McCaffrey about it, who later called his father, an Illinois state senator to pull some strings. This led to a CFD Chief visit, with Severide being offered advice on how to better manage his candidates. Severide ultimately put in a request to terminate McCaffrey, not only from 51 but from the CFD, following his behavior and dangerous choices. Unfortunately, this may not be the last we see of him, as he told Severide and Kidd, “You have no idea who you’re dealing with. This isn’t over.”

Kidd has already been monitored pretty closely as she trains the candidates, and the CFD higher-ups have also been keeping a close eye on Severide now that he’s running 51. It only made sense for them to let McCaffrey go since he could be a liability, and his behavior was not up to par with 51 and CFD standards. However, given who his father is, and the kind of pull he already has, I’m worried that Severide and Kidd might not make it out of this unscathed.

McCaffrey doesn’t seem like he’ll be going down without a fight, and we’ve already seen the kind of strings his father’s willing to pull. What will happen when he finds out his son was terminated from the CFD before he even finished his rotation is hard to predict, but things could be getting messy. With Severide and Kidd already under a microscope and the amount of changes at 51 as of late, it’s unknown what the fallout of this will look like and how it will affect them.

Meanwhile, as McCaffrey seemingly gets revenge, Severide and Kidd are focused on the rest of the firehouse. Plus, with Joe Miñoso’s impending exit as Joe Cruz, 51 will soon be down a firefighter, meaning it’s going to be all hands on deck. McCaffrey could use that as his way back in, but for now, fans will just have to wait and see. New episodes of Chicago Fire air on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC, streaming the next day on Peacock.

Despite its title, I always want more Nobody Wants This. However, since Season 1, there’s been one storyline bubbling up that I didn’t want at all because it made me nervous… fearful, in fact. I’m (probably obviously) referring to the arc involving Morgan and Sasha and their seemingly romantic feelings for each other. I’ve always been against them because their siblings are dating. So, I was aghast when they hooked up in Season 3. However, after some serious reflection, I actually loved that this happened.

I Never Ever, Ever Wanted Morgan And Sasha To Act On Their Feelings

While there was debate about whether Sasha and Morgan should be together, with some being very for and others being vehemently against their potential romance, nothing really happened in Seasons 1 and 2. However, I always was anxious that something would.

That fear came from the notion that if Sasha and Morgan got together, it would ruin Sasha’s marriage and it would royally mess with Noah and Joanne’s relationship. Plus, as Justine Lupe, who plays Morgan, once put it, I always thought it’d be more fun to see Morgan and Sasha as “weird friends” rather than “destroying a family.”

No matter what way you shook it, it was not good if they got together. If they failed as a couple, it would break apart Noah and Joanne’s family. If they stayed together, and Noah and Joanne – who were together first and seem to be endgame – stay together, it’d be very odd that the siblings are dating each other when they could also easily be in-laws.

So, in no way did I think this could work. And frankly, I still don't. However, my opinion on their romantic feelings for each other and the impact they had on the show changed when Season 3 premiered on the 2026 TV schedule.

I Loved How It Felt Like A Necessary Breaking Point In Nobody Wants This Season 3

When Sasha and Morgan admitted their feelings for each other, I verbally yelled “No!” at my TV screen…and I was watching the show alone. Even though Sasha is single now, I’m not for them messing with the family dynamic, especially since Joanne was in the process of converting to Judaism.

However, Episode 7, “Watch What Happens,” changed my perspective on this. While I’ve always found Morgan and Sasha’s chemistry to be undeniable, this episode proved it was deeper than I thought. It also proved they knew exactly what the problems would be if they slept together. That created a stunning episode of television where these two grappled with their feelings, accepted their reality, and eventually ignored it and acted on the desires they’d each had for a long time.

It was achingly romantic, and it added some mess into the season, which I loved. Then, as Season 3 continued, and the fallout of this trip and their hookup happened, I loved it even more. I appreciated how Joanne wouldn’t let Mogan totally avoid Sasha by skipping family events, and it was refreshing to see both her and Sasha really, really simultaneously yearn for and mourn their relationship.

Plus, this whole situation left us with a juicy cliffhanger as Esther found out about what happened…

Overall, I realized this was a crash that needed to happen on Nobody Wants This, whether we wanted it or not. Tension had been building for two and a half seasons between Sasha and Morgan, and we were on a collision course that was inevitable. So, I'm glad we finally faced the reality of the situation. Honestly, I can't believe how much I loved how this explosion went down, either, and I can't help but give Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons their flowers for playing out this odd romance so well.

Now, I can’t wait to see how they begin to heal after all this if the show gets picked up for a fourth season.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has only barely started on the 2026 TV schedule, and there's already a sighting of one of its cast members on a dating app. I can't say I'm too surprised, because I didn't have high hopes of Andi Wallace and Nigel actually getting married.

The latest episode, currently available with an HBO Max subscription, revealed Nigel was living with another woman just days before Andi's arrival. It also seems clear they're not on the same page about when it comes to whether polyamory is still cool when they're physically together, which leads us to this latest reveal.

What Andi Being On Tinder Could Say About Her 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Storyline

A Redditor claimed Andi popped up on his Tinder account and posted photos of her as well as her bio. Assuming this was actually her who posted, Andi noted she wasn't "100% ready to get into a relationship," but needed more of a "friends with benefits" situation and understanding that she doesn't have a ton of spare time.

Does this mean she's done with Nigel? Again, we don't know with certainty that this is actually Andi, though she did confirm in a recent post on Instagram Stories that she's in the Nashville area during the holiday season. Given that, I think it's possible she's quietly back in the area and trying to book shows while trying to keep her storyline spoiler-free.

At the very least, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans can reason the move to Australia wasn't permanent. She's back in the United States, touring, and maybe even looking for love. It's possible she embraced polyamory in a way she hasn't in the latest episode, or things between her and Nigel are over.

Why I'm Not Surprised If Andi And Nigel Broke Up

From time shares to shoes off in supermarkets, Andi seems unsure about embracing some of the things Nigel loves. That's especially true when it comes to polyamory, which she assumed was largely because they were in a long-distance relationship. Unfortunately, it seems as though Nigel feels pretty comfortable about it continuing, and it creates tension when she brings it up.

It feels like this story has gone downhill since she arrived at the airport, but 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way often has its fair share of ups and downs. Americans often seem unprepared for cultural changes and other things they experience, so it's not uncommon for the first few days to be rough.

That being said, I feel as though everyone in Andi's life was advising against her moving to Australia to be with Nigel, and he doesn't seem to be making too great an effort to be welcoming. It feels like when a couple agrees to do the show despite being on the verge of breaking up, and are now doing it because it's a chance to be on television. We'll have to wait and see if it works out!

Even though the Star Wars franchise accounts for some of the most popular movies of all time, it's been a while since the Walt Disney-owned universe had a big blockbuster hit. However, the next upcoming Star Wars movie is the Ryan Gosling-led Starfighter, and it could be the hit it's been looking for, as one staggering number reveals how much the House of Mouse is betting on it. (Hint: It’s a lot.)

Star Wars: Starfighter is on the 2027 movie schedule, and it will kick off the summer season on May 28. The movie cost the studio $226.5 million after production concluded filming back in December. However, that doesn’t yet account for the additional post-production work currently being done, such as the London visual effects unit.

That number comes from Forbes, and its report says Starfighter exceeds how much Star Wars: The Force Awakens cost during the same period of its production. And keep in mind that’s the second most expensive movie ever made next to Jurassic World: Dominion, per Fortune. The Force Awakens reportedly cost $638.9 million when all was said and done.

Though, because Starfighter was mainly filmed in the U.K., it’s eligible for a refund of $51.5 million from the U.K. government. That brings down current net spending to $175 million. We won’t know the final production costs of the new Star Wars movie for a while, but considering it's trending over The Force Awakens, Disney is certainly putting the big bucks in for this one.

The last Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, made just a meager $345.6 million worldwide – though its production budget was reportedly around $165 million, making it the lowest-budget Star Wars flick.

The Walt Disney Company is showing a lot of confidence in the next one. According to insiders, the Shawn Levy-directed film has inspired a lot of confidence from Lucasfilm for recapturing “the franchise’s spirit of fun”. Whereas perhaps the disinterest in The Mandalorian and Grogu is because it didn't appeal to casual fans of the franchise.

With Starfighter’s production budget in mind, it’s clear that The Walt Disney Company is looking to make Star Wars’ first massive blockbuster in years. Like, we’re talking about this needing to be a billion-dollar hit to the tune of recent 2026 movies like Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Toy Story 5.

So, can Starfighter meet those expectations? At this point, there’s not enough out there to get excited about aside from its incredible cast, including Gosling, Amy Adams, Matt Smith and Mia Goth, and Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy behind the camera. There was some footage shown at D23, but not enough to talk about.

We also know that Starfighter was designed as a standalone movie that won’t be connected to the Skywalker Saga. Also, Levy said The Outsiders book and movie “weirdly” influenced the film while he and Gosling were crafting the script. Once the first trailer comes out, we'll have a better gauge on what all that means.

Star Wars: Starfighter is set to come out on May 28 against a summer including Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, Shrek 5, Man of Tomorrow, the sequel to A Minecraft Movie and A Quiet Place Part III. We’ll have to wait and see if its price tag can match audience turnout.

I've had Friends on the brain lately, so the timing seemed right to focus this week's quiz on the beloved '90s sitcom. This particular quiz is themed entirely around locations featured in the series, whether they be fictional or real. How this crossword puzzle works is pretty straightforward: we give you the clue about the place, you guess the place! There are also a few "Whose Apartment" questions, where the answer is a person (or people).

The rumors surrounding who will be the next James Bond in the upcoming Bond 26 have been hot and heavy for months–nay, years– since Daniel Craig starred in his final movie (No Time to Die) in 2021. There have been a lot of names bandied about to join the list of actors who have played Bond over the years, and some of those names, notably Callum Turner and Jack Lowden, are among those who appear to be frontrunners for the role, as screen tests are reportedly happening this weekend.

As a fan of both actors, I think either would be great as the superspy. However, it does leave me wondering about some of the other rumors that have hinted at an origin story possibly going back to Bond’s days in the Navy, which would presumably be a much younger 007 than we're used to. So what does this all mean? Let’s get into it.

Screen Tests Are Underway

According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, screen tests for the next Bond are happening this weekend. The outlet reports that Turner and Lowden are among the finalists to emerge in the derby to be Bond in the upcoming installment directed by Denis Villeneuve. THR also reports that actors previously rumored to be in the running, notably Jack O’Connell and Jacob Elordi, are no longer in the running, according to the publication’s sources. Those four are the only names mentioned in the article, so there are likely others we’re just not aware of yet.

These screen tests are apparently happening this weekend, so maybe we’re finally on the cusp of an announcement. I’ve long held that while we’re all champing at the bit to know who will don the tuxedo as the British spy, Villeneuve has to wrap up his work on his 2026 movie, Dune: Part Three, which will be released in December. With that project presumably close to completion, this news sounds like things are ramping up on Bond 26.

What Does This Mean For Bond’s Age?

If Lowden and Turner are indeed among the frontrunners for the role, it means that an origin story of Bond in the Navy might not be what the next movie will be. Both actors are 36 years old. That is younger than three of the previous actors when they took on the role. Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan were 43, and Timothy Dalton was 41. However, it isn’t as young as Sean Connery, who was 32, and it’s right in line with Craig, who was 38 when he starred in his first, Casino Royale, in 2006.

Presumably, a story featuring Bond in the Navy would be better for a younger actor, like Harris Dickinson or Paul Mescal (both of whom have also been rumored in the past). There is no mention of them, at least partly because both are busy filming the upcoming Beatles movies for the next year or so, I assume. There is also no mention of any other actors in that 25-30 range, the age a pre-MI-5 Bond would have been.

I am someone who would rather not see an origin story, so I’ll take this as good news, personally, but until the new actor is named, we’re all just guessing. Meanwhile, all 25 previous Bond films are all in one place, and you can watch them with your Prime subscription while we wait for more news.

Great Scott, it’s been over 40 years since Back to the Future first raced into theaters with the power of 1.21 gigawatts. If that fact isn’t mind-blowing enough, the news that Christopher Lloyd is celebrating his 88th birthday definitely should be. After all, I could never really tell how old he was when he first appeared as Doc Brown in the hit '80s franchise. While filming Back to the Future was exhausting for many cast members, Lloyd has always held the sci-fi franchise close to his heart, and he even referenced the beloved film in his birthday posts, but I almost missed it.

The newly minted 88-year-old took to his X account, appropriately named @DocBrownLloyd, to let the world know it’s his birthday. At first glance, the tweet sounds like any ordinary birthday post, but Back to the Future superfans are sure to notice the references. Take a look:

Along with the more obvious reference to saying he's "seen some serious shit" (but more on that later), Lloyd's decision to end his tweet with “the power of love remains” feels like it's a nod to the iconic Huey Lewis and the News song that’s featured in Back to the Future, too. And I almost missed it!

The song, which was written for the first film and became the band’s first number-one hit, is first heard as Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) skateboards to school. Later, Marty and his friends perform a hard-rock version of the song for the Battle of the Bands audition that is interrupted by one of the judges, who just so happens to be played by Huey Lewis himself. The song gets one more round to shine towards the end when Marty finally returns to his neighborhood.

“The Power of Love” is so synonymous with Back to the Future that it’s featured in the subsequent films and the Broadway musical, which Lloyd is also a fan of. In the sequel, Marty attempts to play the song on his guitar with little success due to his hand injury from 1985. The song’s final appearance comes in the third movie when Marty is challenged to a car race by Needles (Flea) and his friends.

As iconic as this Back to the Future easter egg is, it’s not the only one Lloyd dropped to celebrate his birthday. The Emmy Award-winning actor kept his love for the sci-fi franchise going, sharing the following video with his 1.5 million Instagram followers:

The Taxi actor addresses the camera, saying, “I told you, when this baby hits 88, you’re going to see some serious shit.” He also referenced that in his tweet, too. In case it’s been a while since you’ve seen the classic film, this is almost a direct quote of what Doc tells Marty when they’re in the parking lot of the first film, testing out Doc’s time travel machine installed on the DeLorean.

Despite turning 88, Lloyd doesn’t look his age, nor does he act it. The actor, who regularly appears at fan conventions, has continued to work in Hollywood. He was most recently seen in the action thriller Nobody 2, which those with a Netflix subscription can now stream. And he's slated to appear in the upcoming horror film The Movers, which will hopefully wind up on the 2027 movie schedule.

Unfortunately, the Back to the Future franchise is not streaming anywhere for free, but is available to purchase on Apple TV and Prime Video. It definitely feels like the appropriate way to celebrate Lloyd’s birthday.

Taylor Swift has owned all her music for well over a year now. That means it’s been well over a year since she revealed she had re-recorded her self-titled album, and that it could still have its moment to “re-emerge.” Well, it hasn’t done that yet, and Swifties are getting antsy and theorizing about when we might get Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version). That’s nothing out of the ordinary; the pop star’s fans clown like this all the time. However, one theory and an edited post from Taylor Nation have me buying into the idea that we could get Debut soon.

Let’s Talk About Spotify Colors And Release Dates

OK, it’s time to lock in because we’re about to talk about a lot of dates and colors, thanks to catherinemckenzieauthor’s post on Threads. It featured screenshots from Spotify where solid colors served as the background on Swift’s songs, “I Knew It, I Knew You” and “Blank Space," as she explained:

She went on to say that these colors correspond with albums (green for Debut, red for Red and purple for Speak Now). The fact that they overlaid her Toy Story 5 song and a 1989 track implied that the re-release of Taylor Swift could be announced on October 26th. Now, how did she land on that date? Well, here’s the breakdown:

Well, all these dates are correct, and the two dates within this range that don’t have a release date on them are the 23rd and 26th. They’re the “Blank Spaces,” and with “I Knew It, I Knew You” being a country song, it makes me think the announcement of new country music could fill said spaces.

Notably, Swift will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame on October 26, per Billboard. That’d be a pretty cool place to announce the new version of her first album, and it’d be full circle considering her country roots. Plus, the “Style” singer has announced her albums at award shows before…so it’s not like this is unprecedented.

Also, the Easter eggs that this could happen don’t seem to end there, as the fan continued:

Listen, Swift used random words during the Emmys to hint at the “Patient Zero” music video. I wouldn’t be shocked if her writing “night at the museum” in her IG post about the Academy Museum Gala (where she performed "I Knew It, I Knew You," "Love Story," "Blank Space" and "The Fate of Ophelia") was a reference to the fact that the movie of the same name and her first album came out in 2006. So, it's all coming together to paint a Taylor Swift-coded picture.

Now, to add more clownery to this theory about Debut, Taylor Nation posted about Swift’s Academy Museum Gala performance on October 21, writing:

Well, the use of the word “debut” is suspicious. While yes, it is a fact that she performed “Fate of Ophelia” for the first time at this event, choosing the word “debut” to describe it will get Swifties spiraling about her first album. However, three minutes after that post went up, it was edited to say:

Hmmmmm…well, this certainly has me thinking they realized what they did and were rushing to fix it. While it could very well mean nothing, it does make me wonder if they’re aware that fans are theorizing about Debut.

So, will all this amount to anything? Or will we have to keep clowning as we do with Reputation? The answer is unclear. However, maybe we’ll know a bit more on October 26.

The Dungeon Crawler Carl TV show certainly won't be the first major book-to-screen adaptation to get underway before its source material was complete. I'm looking at you, original Harry Potter movies, and obviously Game of Thrones, though there are surely other examples. I think, if you're invested in the source material and waiting for the next book, it's fair to be some level of wary about this kind of situation.

Speaking more plainly, there's always some concern the author's involvement in the adaptation might impede their ability to finish the story they've been telling. There's also the worry that if the author doesn't have enough say in the adaptation, the finished product might veer too far from what we love about the books. It's with those things in mind that I can't entirely decide if I love or hate Matt Dinniman's recent comments about his involvement in the DCC TV show that's in the works. (One more thing for those with a Peacock subscription to look forward to!)

TV Insider checked in with Dinniman about the upcoming adaptation of his mega-popular LitRPG series. Here's what he told them.

The update is more or less what we knew about the status of the Dungeon Crawler Carl TV show right now. While we wait for more updates about casting and filming, it sounds like the episodes are still being written. From Dinniman's comments, it also sounds like his involvement in that process extends to giving notes on what's being written, and not much more.

I think The Dungeon Crawler Carl fan in me would feel more confident the show was in safe hands if Dinniman were more actively involved in the writing process. He's the mastermind behind the characters we've come to know and love over the span of eight books (so far), after all. Are notes going to be enough to make sure the best of those characters and the world he's built makes it to our screens? I hope so.

On the other hand, I'm among the many Crawlers out there who's caught up on the series through this year's release, A Parade of Horribles, and eagerly awaiting news about the arrival of Book 9 (release date TBD) and eventually Book 10. When Dinniman spoke to Variety back in July, he talked about being "full steam ahead" on the writing process for Book 9, which is comforting to hear, as it sounds like this won't be a Winds of Winter situation.

I think if I had to choose between wanting him to be more involved in the TV show or more focused on finishing the series, I'd go with the latter. So, I suppose I'm going to resume being some range of optimistic to giddily ecstatic about both the next book and the upcoming TV show.

I think the Harry Potter books are a good example of a series that stuck the landing, despite the massive popularity boom and the release of the movies all happening around the same time that books were still being released. It's absolutely possible for all of this to work out in the best way for DCC fans who are waiting for the final books and also excited for the TV show. Matt Dinniman's confidence in the writers of the TV show is, at the very least, a comforting update.

It's an exciting time for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with fans looking forward to upcoming Marvel movies like Avengers: Doomsday, while we're getting weekly episodes of VisionQuest for those with a Disney+ subscription. Still, there are a number of big questions that have about the shared universe. Chief among them is if/when we might see Chris Pratt's Star-Lord return. Luckily, someone recently asked the Parks & Recreation star that very question.

Folks who spent years watching the Marvel movies in order know that Guardians of the Galaxy is a fan favorite franchise. The end of Vol. 3 claimed that Star-Lord would be back, but there's been no indication as to when/how this will go down in the years that have passed. While appearing on The Playlist’s Bingeworthy podcast (via Variety), the 47-year-old actor addressed this lingering question, saying:

Well, this is hopeful. While Pratt didn't give any concrete answers as to when Star-Lord will show up next, it sounds like there are still plans for him to return as Peter Quill in the MCU. He's continued to be in contact with the powers that be, even if he's been on a bit of a hiatus since Guardians 3. I'd love some more information, but at least we know that he's still interested in returning as the cosmic hero.

Chris Pratt wasn't included in the Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement, but there are still some fans hoping he'll appear. After all, Kevin Feige confirmed there were more actors included. Case in point: Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers. So maybe Peter Quill will show up after all.

When we last saw Star-Lord, he had departed the Guardians of the Galaxy, leaving Rocket in charge of the team of superheroes. Peter finally returned to Earth for good, reuniting with his grandfather in the process. He seems to be happy to be back with his family, but superheroes are rarely able to retire for good.

If Pratt doesn't end up appearing in Doomsday, maybe he'll be able to reprise his role as Peter Quill in its sequel Secret Wars. With the multiverse in play just about anything seems possible, and these crossover movies might be the opportunity to bring Star-Lord back into the fold. Fans like me would certainly love it.

The next MCU movie hitting theaters is Avengers: Doomsday on December 18th as part of the 2026 movie release list. For now, fans can re-watch Chris Pratt's time in the shared universe over on Disney+.

Tony DiNozzo is still settling into his job as the new director of NCIS, with a lot of new faces still unsure about him. Katrina Law's Jessica Knight is one of those who doesn't know much about Michael Weatherly's character, and if she had her choice, she'd sooner see McGee take the role.

The actress revealed as much during a recent interview with TVInsider. When asked about how she thinks Knight responded to Tony becoming the new director, she gave her perspective on where her character's head is at as new episodes continue on the 2026 TV schedule:

Knight isn't one to rock the boat, outside of a few instances. I never expected her to grumble and shout about Tony DiNozzo taking over as director, but I certainly agree with Katrina Law. Knight would prefer to see McGee with the job. She knows what to expect from McGee because they've worked together for years, whereas Tony still has some unknowns.

The unknowns don't mean she's not willing to give him a shot. Law clarified where Knight stands when it comes to her new boss, and how Tony may just ultimately win her over even if McGee was her first choice:

Katrina Law is excited about Michael Weatherly being on NCIS, especially if it leads to Cote De Pablo returning as well. A Knight and Ziva pairing would be awesome, and we know they've been in contact, with her reporting on Tony's eating habits back to her.

I do wonder just how long Knight will have to deal with Tony in the job, because it feels like he's still struggling with the ins and outs of it. Busting the bad guys is easy for him, but dealing with office cakes in morgue coolers is not quite what he's used to.

Let's also remember that the director position at NCIS is a particularly perilous one. Tony got the job because Director Vance died, and others before him have died as well. Despite being a desk job for the most part, it feels like they have a higher death rate than the actual field agents!

I don't imagine NCIS brought back Michael Weatherly just to kill off Tony DiNozzo, but I do wonder just how long he'll stay in the director position. The previous Director actor Rocky Carroll spent years on the program, and I think there's hope among fans that Weatherly will do the same. I think it's a possibility, assuming CBS doesn't have plans for a Bull revival in the near future.

NCIS continues on CBS on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET. I'm loving Tony in the new job regardless of what anyone on the team thinks about it, though they all seem to be fans as well.

Chris Pratt's James Reece finally has a new mission. After a four-year wait that had fans counting down the days, The Terminal List returned to Prime Video on October 21, joining the 2026 TV schedule with all eight episodes of Season 2. Judging by the first wave of reactions, the show has also brought back something else from its 2022 debut: critics and viewers disagreeing about whether it's any good.

The second season currently sits at 57% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on seven critic reviews as of October 22. Meanwhile, its Popcornmeter is at 86%, although fewer than 50 audience ratings have been counted. That's a 29-point gap, and we need to talk about it.

What Critics And Fans Are Saying

For anyone who needs a refresher, the new season adapts True Believer, the second novel in Jack Carr's series about James Reece. Chris Pratt's character is on the run after Season 1, and his latest adventure pulls him into a much bigger international conspiracy. Constance Wu returns as journalist Katie Buranek, while Tom Hopper, Gabriel Luna, and Luke Hemsworth also join the action.

It shifts from the personal revenge story that launched the show, and early critical reaction suggests that change hasn't won everyone over. Nick Schager of The Daily Beast takes issue with the show's conventional approach, describing it:

LeisureByte's Archi Sengupta was even less enthusiastic, awarding the season 1.5 out of 5 stars and calling it "extremely boring."

There are positive reviews in the mix, though. ScreenRant's Nick Bythrow gave Season 2 an 8 out of 10, arguing that it builds on both the first season and the prequel, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.

FandomWire's M.N. Miller, who scored it 7 out of 10, was also more receptive to the international espionage approach, even while acknowledging that it takes time to get moving, writing:

The audience responses that have trickled onto Rotten Tomatoes are generally much warmer. Several viewers praise the action and Pratt's performance, while others say the follow-up was worth the long wait. Of course, people enthusiastic enough to watch and rate a show the day after it drops aren't necessarily representative of everyone who will eventually stream it.

We’ve Been Here Before

If those scores feel familiar, there's a reason. Critics weren't especially kind to the first season of Terminal List either. Season 1 holds a 42% Tomatometer score from 57 reviews, compared with a whopping 94% audience score from more than 5,000 ratings. We covered that disagreement in 2022, when Pratt shared a response from Carr suggesting the series was made for the people watching it rather than critics.

Interestingly, last year's Dark Wolf prequel brought those two groups much closer together, earning 75% from critics and 80% from audiences. It also introduced several characters who factor into the new season, which makes it worth revisiting if you skipped it while waiting for Pratt to return.

For now, the new season's 57% critic score is up from the original, even if the audience rating has dipped a bit.

Personally, I think The Terminal List Season 2 is really strong. If you enjoyed the first season, I can't imagine you won't enjoy the second. And if you weren't a fan to begin with, I doubt this season will change your mind. Sure, the show does a few things differently this time around, but isn't that what a good sequel should do? Plus, let's face it, The Terminal List is basically an eight-hour action movie. I'd be disappointed if it didn't shake things up a little. So, if you're asking me, I'm siding with the audience on this one. I think Season 2 is absolutely worth queuing up and binging this weekend.

All eight episodes of The Terminal List season 2 are now streaming with a Prime Video subscription, so there is plenty of time for the numbers to move as more people catch up with James Reece.

The Wizarding World has been a global sensation for years now, starting with J.K. Rowling's books and extending to the Harry Potter movies, theme park attractions, video games, and stage plays. We'll be getting another book to screen adaptation with the upcoming Harry Potter TV show, and the pressure is on for it to deliver. After someone did some math, we now have an idea about how much money many gold galleons are being spent to bring the franchise to HBO (and streaming with a HBO Max subscription). Spoiler alert: it's reportedly a TON of cash.

The Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone trailer has teased what to expect from the show's first season, and Season 2 is already in active development. The London Times is reporting that the network is going to give the series a huge budget, on par with other megahits like Game of Thrones and The Last of Us. After some investigation, it's believed that HBO is spending as much as $200 million bringing Hogwarts to the small screen.

So, How Do We Get To This Whopping Figure?

I know this is a staggering figure, but how was the number discovered? Folks came up with it after Plum Jam Productions' filed earnings became public, and did the math to try and figure out the alleged budget of the Harry Potter series. Here's how they did it. First, you need to know HBO had to create a new production company --aka Plum Jam-- in the UK in order to be eligible for UK tax breaks. So any money coming in or out for that company IS Potter related.

Now that's established, they looked at the money listed as spent by the production company brought in in 2025, which equaled £130.6 million. Then, they looked at the amount Plum Jam mentioned the year before, which totaled £18.4 million, or in US dollars $174.5 million and $24.6 million. That's right around $200 million US in spending.

The around $200 million number isn't a confirmed number from the studio, it's just inferred. It's also worth noting the show was still in production until this past May, so there's real reason to believe it could be a bit higher, as money would have had to be pumped into Plum Jam for several months in 2026. Still, it looks like a massive amount of money is being used to bring Harry to TV.

This number does make sense given the scale necessary to bring the magic of the Wizarding World to life. It's also pretty comparable to the money shelled out for other fantasy series on the network. For example, Game of Thrones Season 6 used $10 million per episode, with the total being upward of $100M for the entire season. That's not even including the money spent on publicity for the beloved HBO series. The Last Of Us also costs eight figures per episode. Adding in inflation and just how massive of a scale is needed for Potter, and this alleged number would make a great deal of sense.

The Harry Potter TV series needed to pay a huge amount of actors, crew, and designers to bring Hogwarts to life. Then there's aspects like special effects, CGI, as well as design for creatures and more. There's a ton of pressure for the series to deliver the same level of movie magic as the films, which is going to require a great deal of galleons from the bank vault.

Still, I think it is worth noting even if hundreds of millions are being spent, as previously rumored, that aligns it with the Potter movie themselves. The priciest Harry Potter movie reportedly cost the studio $250 million, but that's before P&A.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone will debut on December 25th as part of the 2026 TV schedule. As previously mentioned, Season 2 is already in development, with Kit Harginton set to play Gilderoy Lockhart.

Katee Sackhoff continues to celebrate her daughter beating cancer, and she has done so every year so far. In a move that may make her the coolest mom this century (so far of course), she showed off the tattoos she and her husband have gotten for their daughter every year she has continued to improve.

As readers continue to enjoy Sackhoff's performance on the 2026 TV schedule in Carrie, she's also been very active on social media, particularly celebrating the show's Battlestar Galactica connections. I've been interested, so I've spent more time on her page, and the actress recently let her followers in on a yearly tradition as their daughter, Ginervra (Ginny), remains cancer-free. Ginny was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at eight months old and underwent treatment for three years before her mom said they were out of the woods. This now marks her fifth year, and given how much she's been through, it's great to hear she's absolutely thriving and able to do so without needing treatment. Cancer is such a hard thing to face in general, so it's always amazing to hear a recovery story, and I think the way her parents celebrate her is so perfect.

The video itself shows Katee Sackhoff and her husband, Robin Gadsby, getting their latest Wonder Woman tattoos. What I love is that they both clearly seem to be in a little bit of pain, but they both look so happy doing so.

The tattoos are small, but the significance is huge. Besides, there's only so much space on the human body, so I get starting small and slowly working toward a sleeve as they make their way through life!

I also love the idea in that it shows how their daughter has evolved over the years. It reminds me of the things that my daughter has shown interest in as she's gotten older. If this were my idea, I would have gone from having a Bluey tattoo one year, and something from The Amazing Digital Circus the very next. I'm a little jealous I didn't think of this idea first -- cool dad am i right? -- but I may just go ahead and start it anyway, with Katee Sackhoff getting credit for the inspiration.

Things are on the up and up for Katee Sackhoff, as audiences across the board are seeing her pop up. She's pitching ideas for a Bo-Katan spinoff for Star Wars, and with Season 2 of Carrie now confirmed. I'm happy to see this "cool mom" thriving in 2026, and hoping the good times keep rolling for her and everyone in her family.

As mentioned, Carrie is available to stream right now with a Prime subscription. Readers can also check the actress out on The Mandalorian, which, of course, is over to watch on Disney+. It feels like she's only going to pop up in more stuff from here on out, so continue to watch this sci-fi legend kick ass wherever she pops up next.

We're currently in the midst of spooky season, with plenty of fans watching the best horror movies and TV shows to celebrate. Those with an Amazon Prime subscription were recently treated to Mike Flanagan's Carrie show, which made bold changes compared to other book to screen adaptations of Stephen King's novel. I'm so relieved that Amazon renewed the show for Season 2, especially after some other horror shows were cancelled and left on cliffhangers.

Carrie's Season 1 finale offered a number of narrative threads to be pulled from, including the mysterious cult of witches and Carrie's superpowered friend Emaline. I was worried that we wouldn't get closure on these stories, but luckily Amazon just announced that Season 2 is indeed coming. The announcement came with a statement by Flanagan, which reads:

Same, though. I need to know more about this story, and get some answers about what happens to Carrie and other characters after the horrors of the prom. I've still got PTSD about The Beauty being put on pause after a bonkers final twist. The Shards also ended with huge cliffhangers, and at the time of writing this story that Ryan Murphy show still hasn't been renewed either. After these disappointments and lack of closure, I'm so relieved that we're getting more of Flanagan's Carrie series.

There are a ton of questions about Carrie, so it's exciting that we'll get answers with the show's second season. I'm curious is various characters survived either the prom or their interview with Kate Siegel's Adeladine. Since she famously killed Margaret White, I've been wondering if Tina and Sue were also murdered after their interviews. What's more, I want a confirmation about whether or not Amber Midthunder's Mrs. Desjardin actually died in the gym.

Stephen King has praised Mike Flanagan as the "best adapter of my work", after working on Doctor Sleep, Gerald's Game, and Carrie. The prolific author issued his own statement about the series returning for Season 2, which reads:

King is an EP on Carrie, and will no doubt be helping Mike Flanagan in craft the show's second season narrative. We're likely going to be going beyond the source material, so his involvement is sure to be comforting for those who aren't sure about Season 2.

Carrie is streaming in its entirety on Amazon now as part of the 2026 TV schedule. Hopefully the wait for Season 2 isn't too long; I'm dying to dive back into this adaptation.

Connor Wood apparently wanted one thing from Jennifer Lawrence: confirmation that she knows he exists. With the Oscar winner potentially returning to Panem on the 2026 movie schedule, Wood picked quite a moment to put his celebrity crush out into the universe. The Dancing with the Stars contestant was hoping she'd acknowledge him because he needs, and I quote, “something good to happen to him.” Well, be careful what you wish for, because JLaw apparently heard his prayers and took to Instagram to troll him in the best possible way.

Wood recently sat down with his DWTS partner Rylee Arnold for a BuzzFeed BFF Test, and when the questions turned to celebrity crushes, he named Jennifer Lawrence without hesitation. And apparently, word got back to the actress who only recently joined Instagram, as she left a comment on IG. However, instead of giving Wood the acknowledgment he'd been hoping for, she hit him with this hilariously specific accusation:

Connor. Buddy. The funniest reading, and the one I’m sticking with until somebody produces security footage, is that the No Hard Feelings actress is trolling this man. Given Lawrence's history of hilariously unfiltered public moments, I wouldn't put it past her.

Nothing in the post proves she actually saw Wood wandering Eighth Avenue with a smoothie. Maybe it happened, but more than likely, this is some polite ribbing from the Hunger Games lead. Or who knows, maybe the X-Men alum really did witness the saddest missed celebrity-crush encounter in New York history.

Or maybe she heard a comedian say he wanted Jennifer Lawrence to know he existed and immediately invented a psychologically damaging way to tell him she does. That possibility is so much funnier. The specificity kills me. Not “I’ve seen your videos.” Not “Hi Connor.” She went with Eighth Avenue, a smoothie, and the accusation that he personally ignored her. Funny enough, Lawrence has her own history of awkward celebrity crushes, including admitting she had a thing for Seth Meyers. And yet, that didn't make her go easy on the young man.

For the record, Wood has been very public about the crush for years. Along with the confession JLaw saw, he and Brooke Averick have discussed the Winter's Bone breakout on Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast. So if Lawrence wanted material for a precision troll, she had plenty.

In response, Wood didn't try to investigate the allegation. He did not post a map of Eighth Avenue. He did not demand witnesses. He did not insist he would obviously recognize Katniss Everdeen while holding a beverage. Instead, he reposted her Instagram response (see below) to his own story and added three words: "Going to bed."

Perfect. That is exactly what you do when your longtime celebrity crush publicly claims you once walked straight past her while drinking a smoothie. Real encounter or not, you can't recover from that. Close the apps. Turn out the lights. Try again tomorrow.

Wood currently has other things to worry about, though. He is competing on Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars with Arnold, a pairing CinemaBlend previously singled out as one to watch when the cast was announced in September. He has steadily improved through the competition, recently earning his highest score yet during Dedication Night.

However, Mirrorball Trophy or no Mirrorball Trophy, the Die My Love actress may have already handed him the funniest win of his season. He wanted Jennifer Lawrence to know he exists. She apparently knows enough to ruin his night with one sentence.

Wednesday wrapped production on its third season, and Jenna Ortega has wasted no time separating herself from the black looks her gothic character is known for. In fact, lately, she's been rocking yellow and bright outfits to promote her project on the 2026 movie schedule, Klara and the Sun. She also just went against the gothic grain again by wearing a whimsical white dress for a cover shoot.

Wednesday Addams is known for her black fashion, and over the years, Ortega has been adapting her titular character’s wardrobe. She’s worn a wild gothic Wednesday top at a premiere and a gothic fantasy cutout dress at the Golden Globes, both of which were completely on brand. So it’s always both surprising and refreshing to see her in something completely different. For example, I absolutely love the whimsical white dress she wore for her Vogue cover:

Jenna Ortega is on the cover of the November 2026 issue of Vogue, and she looks captivating. Per the cover story, she is wearing a Dior dress with Van Cleef & Arpels earrings, and this ensemble proves, once again, that this actress's style has range.

To prove that point further, this is far from the first time Ortega has ditched Wednesday’s signature black in favor of something else. For example, on the Klara and the Sun press tour, she's been opting for yellow outfits that are light and bright, and at one point, she even wore a dress made of steel rods.

Overall, Ortega’s has been killing it with her style in recent years, and celebrity stylist Law Roach agrees, as he called her method dressing “really beautiful and really well crafted.” He makes a great point, too: the actress has a knack for wearing outfits that fit with the project she's promoting while also making sure they highlight her personal style. Lately, doing that has involved her stepping away from the Wednesday black.

However, now that Wednesday has finished filming Season 3, fans will not only be able to look forward to new episodes, but they can also get hyped for the outfits Ortega will be wearing during the press tour. As someone who’s been a fan of her since her Disney days, I always love seeing what she wears. Now, I cannot wait to see what looks she cooks up next, especially if her Vogue cover is any indication of how her style is evolving.

The last week of the 2026 TV schedule was full of Dancing with the Stars drama. Following comments Carrie Ann Inaba made about a lift in Jenna Johnson and Harry Shum Jr.’s Super Bowl night dance, Johnson’s husband and pro, Val Chmerkovskiy, made a comment toward the judge that got him suspended. So, as Alan Bersten stepped in for him this week, lots of discourse about all this ensued, and I fell down the rabbit hole.

Liftgate And What Got Val Suspended

Let’s take it back to Super Bowl night and the event the internet has dubbed “Liftgate.” After Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson performed a Samba that included the troupe lifting the Glee actor, Carrie Ann Inaba called out the lift. The pro was shocked by the callout, and many online were upset about it. Amid all this, Val Chmerkovskiy posted a now-deleted TikTok (via Page Six) that said:

This reference to when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars is what got Val suspended. He publicly apologized to the judge for what he said, and reportedly, Inaba went to the producers to say she wanted something done about this. On the Saturday before Dedication Night, it was reported that the pro had been suspended for one episode. In response to that, he wrote on his IG Story (via Us Weekly):

In the same statement, he apologized to Carrie Ann again, saying she “didn’t deserve to get caught in the middle of [his] bad judgment.” He also asked fans to send their love to the judge, his partner Jenna Dewan and “the whole DWTS family.”

How Val's Suspension Impacted Dedication Night

With Val out, his partner, Jenna Dewan, needed a pro to dance with. So, Alan Bersten, who was eliminated earlier in the season, stepped in to help.

During Dedication Night, Val’s absence was briefly addressed, and during an interview with GMA after the show, the Step Up star shared that she and Alan had two-and-a-half days to prepare for their Viennese waltz. However, the number dedicated to Dewan’s mom, Nancy, went very well, and The Rookie actress got her first ten.

Meanwhile, Val was at home watching, as his wife, Jenna Johnson, shared during an interview with ET:

Val was also active on social media, proving that even though he wasn’t in the ballroom, he was still supporting his partner.

How Val And Alan Responded To The Whole Situation

When it was announced that Alan would step in for Val, the intense comments surrounding the suspension amplified. People were wondering if there was any drama between the pros, and many were suspicious about the fact that Val didn’t follow Alan on Instagram. In response to that, Val commented on Alan’s post about performing with Dewan:

I can confirm that Val does follow Alan on Instagram.

Anyway, with that out of the way, Val commented on Jenna Dewan and Alan’s performance, too, simply writing in the comments on the show’s post about it:

What’s Next For Val?

Val will be back for the next episode, according to THR. We knew he had a one-episode suspension, and that has held true, as the outlet reported that the pro is back in rehearsals. That means he’ll be by Jenna Dewan’s side for the Halloween episode.

Survivor is a game of moments, and by the power of Coach Wade on Exile Island, we got a moment last night. One tribe delivered one of the messiest and most insane votes in the entire history of the show and in doing so, completely changed how a lot of fans see two different players, one of whom wasn’t even at said tribal council.

Let’s take off our buffs real quick and set the scene of what exactly happened before we get into how the fanbase has responded. During Episode 4 of 51, the producers, much to the annoyance of fans, randomly sorted the players out of their two starting tribes and into three new tribes. Kilby and Lewis drew the short end of the stick, as they ended up on a six person tribe with Sharonda, Erik, Christian and Linnea who were already in a not-so-secret alliance. If their tribe lost, it seemed predestined that one of Lewis or Kilby would go home. So, when that loss happened last night, everyone involved was just wondering which one of the two it would be.

A funny thing happened before Tribal Council, however. Maggie, whose tribe won the immunity challenge, was given an advantage that allowed her to visit another beach and gift someone an extra vote. She picked Kilby and Lewis’s tribe and she not only gave them the extra vote, she also gave them a second extra vote she and Brady found earlier in the season. At Tribal Council, they threw the two extra votes onto Linnea, which tied the tally at 4 to 4 between her and Lewis.

After a revote produced the same numbers, host Jeff Probst told Kilby, Sharonda, Erik and Christian that they could either unanimously agree to send Linnea or Lewis home, or if they were unable to make a decision, all four of them would draw rocks and whoever drew the odd one would go home. Kilby stood his ground and said he was willing to go to rocks. Everyone else wavered and Sharonda, Erik and Christian decided to send home their own ally Linnea rather than leave their fate to chance.

With all due respect to Brady chopping his finger off, that insane tribal council is the defining moment of Survivor 51 so far, and it has completely changed how the fanbase views both Kilby and Maggie. Most of the conversation around this past episode has involved the two of them, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. That’s a far cry from the treatment they were getting earlier in the season, and it could position both as potential returning players in the future.

Let’s talk about Maggie first. The response to her hasn’t exactly been negative from the game’s biggest fans on social media, but it has been quiet and at times, kind of dismissive. Her edit was mostly quiet through the first four episodes, and there was a consistent stream of joke tweets with her picture going around and people asking who she was. The fanbase’s collective read was that she was going to be an underdeveloped character who quietly went home sometime before the endgame without much fanfare. Not anymore. Now fans are dropping tweets of her dressed like Lady Olenna from Game Of Thrones and commenting on her big balls. Former players are even talking about how she basically hired hitmen since she told them to target Linnea.

For Kilby, screentime has not been the issue. He’s been one of the most prominent characters of the entire season, but it’s often felt like the edit has been dunking on him. The game has shown several conversations where his perception and reads on the game seemed to be way off, and his budding friendship with Erik has been widely mocked by the fanbase. A former player even called the two of them a nightmare blunt rotation. The fanbase’s read was that he couldn’t go home soon enough, at least until last night. Now every Survivor player and fan I’ve seen, myself included, is praising how hard he rode for Lewis and how much he pushed around Erik, Christian and Sharonda. He’s being treated like a war hero and someone never to be messed with.

Obviously the point of Survivor is to win the game, but for many people going on the show, the point is also to make an impact. The goal is to have your own moment and do something fans will reference and talk about for years to come. Both Kilby and Maggie got that moment last night, and in doing so, they went from being an underedited nobody and an overedited weirdo to both being badass fan favorites. Not bad for one episode.

Late night shows have always had a unique place in the Hollywood landscape, and at any point there are a number of them competing for viewership. Even though Stephen Colbert's Late Show was cancelled, there are still a bunch on the air. That includes Late Night with Seth Meyers, which is airing on NBC (and streaming with a Peacock subscription). The SNL alum recently broke down why these shows take hiatuses so often, with his comments coming as Jimmy Kimmel begins a week-long break.

Kimmel has taken breaks earlier this year, and he's once again going off the air for a week. Some fans are curious why these shows stop airing new episodes every now and then, and luckily Seth Meyers spoke about this subject in an interview with The Wrap. Addressing his seven-week absence from Late Night, he offered:

It looks like Meyers' time on SNL, or at least NBC's take on Meyers' time on SNL, is influencing his schedule for Late Night. He prefers to take longer breaks, rather than going on more shorter ones throughout the year, sticking to a schedule more similar to the late night sketch series.

Meyers has spoken about the unique hours for late night talk shows, and his comments about hiatus allow for another peek behind the curtain. In the same interview, the 52-year-old host and comedian spoke more about his take on breaks in general. He offered:

It sounds like Seth understands the public perception of his job, especially when taking off for a whopping seven weeks-- a long hiatus to be sure. Perhaps his comments might help to offer some much-needed context for critics who aren't happy with him being off the air for so long. The same bit of understanding might be needed for Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon, as well. Sometimes the networks are seemingly forcing some of these breaks.

New episodes of Late Night with Seth Meyers air weeknights on NBC as part of the 2026 TV schedule. Fingers crossed that he doesn't go back on hiatus anytime soon. From the sound of it, he won't be.

Some spoilers ahead for Season 4, Episode 2 of Elsbeth, “Death of a Playwright,” streaming now with a Paramount+ subscription.

Elsbeth is officially in its fourth season on the 2026 TV schedule, and fans have definitely been in for a ride. Between the murder mysteries, Elsbeth’s insane number of bags and over-the-top outfits, the incredible guest stars, and more, the series has been entertaining from the start. What some fans may not know is that Elsbeth was actually inspired by a classic crime series. Though there’s one big difference, as the showrunner told me.

While Elsbeth is a spinoff of The Good Wife, the series actually draws inspiration from Columbo. How do you figure it? Both start off episodes showing the crime and the perpetrator, and both follow their respective titular characters then finding evidence to support each case. It's a cat-and-mouse game that's hard to do right, and both Elsbeth and Columbo do it well.

So, now we know Elsbeth is almost as much of a Columbo spinoff as a Good Wife spinoff, I was curious about what the showrunner thinks about the comparison. Jonathan Tolins confirmed the original model was the ‘70s detective series, but he told CinemaBlend there’s something Columbo never touched on that they made a concerted effort to address on Elsbeth.

Mrs. Columbo is one of many TV characters we never saw during Columbo's run, but when it comes to Elsbeth's love life, that's been a whole different story. We've heard about her relationship with her ex-husband, we've seen her going on some really interesting dates (including with Ioan Gruffudd's delightful Scottish character), and now the series might be building something between Elsbeth and Detective Smullen. Even though it’s fun to see Elsbeth mirror Columbo at times, and see Carrie Preston’s beloved character really focus on solving a case, Season 4 is going to be digging way deeper into her personal life.

The Season 3 finale saw her son Teddy getting engaged, and now that he and his fiancé, Roy, have set a date, Elsbeth is taking on more mother-of-the-groom duties. Her personal life is front and center, and that can make writing the show quite challenging, as the showrunner explained:

I always love when a show digs deeper into a character, especially when there still isn’t much known about them at the start. Elsbeth Tascioni was first introduced on The Good Wife and was also on The Good Fight, but as her own show has progressed, we’ve been learning more about her. We were introduced to her son, and now we’ll soon be meeting her mother. The end of last week’s episode, “Death of a Playwright,” saw Elsbeth getting a phone call from her mom, and it seems there will be some intrigue with this storyline as well.

Tolins also teased an upcoming episode that will include more preparations for the wedding. Of course, this means meeting more of the family on both sides. Elsbeth will get more involved, and so will Roy’s parents. Not surprisingly, though, not everything will go the way it should:

I’m excited to see what comes out of this wedding, especially since it means we’ll be seeing more of Elsbeth’s family and personal life...something that was rare or never happened on Columbo.

There’s no telling what will happen, but there is clearly a lot to look forward to. New episodes of Elsbeth air on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS, streaming the next day on Paramount+.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a well-oiled machine at this point, and folks are looking forward to upcoming Marvel movies like Avengers: Doomsday. While we wait fans are re-watching previous movies with a Disney+ subscription, especially the previous two Avengers flicks. Paul Bettany has been doing press for VisionQuest, and recently revealed the morbid way the cast found out who died at the end of Infinity War.

Fans who spent years watching the Marvel movies in order will recall how dumbfounded we all were when Thanos succeeded in snapping away half of all life during Infinity War. In a video from Marvel's Instagram, Bettany recalled the wild way the cast found out who was being killed off, saying:

Talk about an awkward day on set. On top of shooting a complicated action sequence where Thanos descended upon Wakanda, actors were finding out in a bus if they were going to survive Infinity War or not. Talk about high stakes.

Luckily for those who got turned into dust, they would be revived before the final battle of Avengers: Endgame. That was not the case for Vision, as the main version of that character died (twice) during that sequence. In the same video Bettany went on to describe that experience, and reveal more BTS tea. In his words:

How wild is that? Wanda killing Vision to destroy the Mind Stone was a super emotional scene from Infinity War, so the fact that the Russos wanted Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen to improvise it is mind-blowing. The Solo actor claims that the scene was some of this worst acting, and that editing and music helped to save him from a poor performance. The scene was wildly effective in the theatrical cut, so it's fascinating to hear how the sausage gets made.

Luckily for Bettany, Vision’s death didn’t end his tenure in the MCU. He was revived via the hex in WandaVision, before the OG version of the character perished yet again. But White Vision survived, which is who we’re following in his new Disney+ series.

VisionQuest airs new episodes Wednesdays on Disney+ as part of the 2026 TV schedule. We’ll just have to wait and see if he manages to survive, and hopefully pop up in future projects. Fingers crossed.

Big Brother Season 28's time on the 2026 TV schedule is well over, but Drew Campbell and Melody Morris are still enjoying some quality time together. As they continue to make Cameo videos together and leave fans speculating whether or not they're a couple, I'm starting to lean more on the idea that they're dating. So let's talk this out, shall we?

At this point, both Drew and Melody have denied the notion of there being anything between them. Not only that, but even their allies had doubts that their friendship would develop into anything serious. I'll counter that with the constant content they're posting together, and this recent trip to New York City, pictures of which can be seen in the Instagram post below:

I have to point out that Drew's hometown is Temecula, California, and Melody's home is in Maricopa, Arizona. They're both pretty far from home, so is it safe to say they're traveling together and are a couple?

It's a question I struggle with, because there is some incentive in their continued ambiguity about where they stand. For starters, Drew is making a killing on his Cameo videos. Some fans are really invested in seeing if he and Melody are together, so they're constantly liking any and all content that features the two of them.

In my mind, it's in Melody and Drew's best interest to continue to tease their followers, even if they're just friends having fun after playing the game together. It's clear they've become close friends at the very least, and it's possible that could be all there is to their relationship.

At the same time, both former Houseguests knew it wasn't a great idea to start a showmance if you want to win Big Brother. Had they met in a more natural setting, they might've pursued a relationship from the jump. So, in theory, wouldn't it make a lot of sense to do that now that the pressure of losing a lot of prize money isn't in the equation?

This is what makes Drew and Melody so compelling to Big Brother fans. All in all, everyone just wants to know if they're a couple or not, and they seem pretty intent on keeping people in the dark. Truthfully, I don't know if they'll confirm anything until they start to see people lose interest, or it becomes clear they broke up.

Of course, there is a third possibility, and that's that even Melody and Drew are afraid to put a label on things. Maybe they could be hooking up, traveling and just exploring this weird experience in which they have a small fandom invested in their every move. It is one of the main appeals of being on reality television, and certainly beats returning home to work a regular 9-to-5. More power to them for keeping it secret, even if I do want to know one way or the other.

Big Brother Season 28 is available to stream right now on Paramount+. If we never learn what's up with Melody and Drew, at least we'll have those memories to look back on!

SPOILERS AHEAD for You Can See Everything, which is in theaters now as part of the 2026 movie schedule. Be warned: if you don’t want to see everything, you might want to stop here!

There is no question that the most talked-about movie of the fall so far is You Can See Everything, one of the newest A24 movies to hit theaters. Heck, the Nathan Fielder/Lance Oppenheim-directed documentary about Theranos founder and scammer Elizabeth Holmes might end up being the best movie of 2026. (Certainly, former employees have thoughts.)

Still, there is one thing people aren’t talking about: the surprise star who shows up about halfway through the film. This leads to some of the craziest moments in the film, and I’m going to issue another spoiler warning now, because it really is best to see it yourself for the first time. With that said, let’s get into the awkward interview the star gave this week.

Truly, Red Carpet Interviews Are Rarely This Awkward

Earlier this week, THR caught up with Amanda Seyfried on the red carpet of the Academy Museum Gala. The reporter asked her a pretty simple question, knowing that everyone, from the filmmakers to the fans, is trying to keep her appearance in You Can See Everything a secret from those who haven’t seen it. He just asks, “How’s your life?” Seyfried smiles, knowing exactly what he means, and responds, “It’s…interesting.”

Both the reporter and Seyfried acknowledge that it’s hard for her to do interviews right now, and she tries to explain why, without giving up the secret information. She slyly says:

That answer might sound a little lost, but it’s the perfect answer to the question, if you ask me. I don’t want people to know about the “twist” in You Can See Everything when The Dropout star suddenly appears in the October box office hit. It adds a completely new dimension to the already purposely baffling and brilliant film.

Seyfried gives another cheeky answer when the reporter at the event asks how people should engage with her at a party, when she knows she can’t talk about her latest project (at least not yet):

It’s gotta be really hard not to talk about a project you’re in, and doubly so when the movie is the literal talk of the town. The documentary has so many wild moments that it feels like I could write about it for a year straight, and her surprise role is one of the biggest. Seyfried handles the question with aplomb, and I hope people who haven’t seen the movie took my spoiler warnings seriously!

When people were dogging the Street Fighter movie, starring Noah Centineo among others in the ensemble cast, after seeing the early trailers, I was one of the first defenders, but after having seen the film, all I have to say is that you naysayers were kind of right. It definitely did not live up to my lofty expectations. That said, was it as terrible as I’ve heard some people making it out to be? Well, that’s debatable, but I will say this: While it wasn’t everything that I could have wanted in a Street Fighter movie, I still think it’s pretty fun, and it definitely has its moments.

So, while I don’t think I’ll have to revise my list of the best video game movies ever to slip in Street Fighter, which hit the 2026 movie schedule last weekend, I will talk about all of the things that I think actually worked. It’s more than you may think.

Oh, and some spoilers up ahead.

The Animated Sections Are So On Point, I Wish They Were The Whole Movie

I’m going to be honest with you. As a lifelong Street Fighter fan, I can tell you that there’s never been a “great” live-action Street Fighter movie. I know some people really like the 1994 flick, but come on. At best, it’s a “good” bad video game movie. The less we say about Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, the better.

Well, you can add this recent Street Fighter to the list of “not great” movies, though I would say it’s the best of the three. While I said there hasn’t been a great “live-action” Street Fighter movie, there has been a great animated one, and that’s 1994’s Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. It’s a flick that hits all the right notes, and it also influenced a lot of later Street Fighter titles as well (Most notably the Street Fighter Alpha series).

So, when I learned that this new movie had animated segments, I thought, sign me up! And, yes, they are arguably the best part of the entire film. The animated parts are actually super serious, and they give great backstory. The start of the film is actually the first tournament, which would be the original Street Fighter.

All of these animated segments are by far the coolest sections of the flick, and they’re not bogged down by the “humor” that the rest of the movie presents. I wish the whole film were animated.

So, Sagat IS In The Film, And The Way He's Presented Here Is So Awesome

When we initially got a list of the main cast for this movie, I was like, okay, okay, okay, everybody’s here. Nice. But then, I took a second look, and my eyes widened. “Wait. Where’s Sagat?” I asked aloud. And, for a time, I thought this was a major mistake. How could you have pretty much the entire roster of Street Fighter II: Champion Edition and NOT include the Muay Thai master?

Well, my concern was misguided, as Sagat is in fact in the movie, and, as I just mentioned earlier, he’s in the best portions of the film, those being the animated segments. This makes sense as to why he wasn’t in the main cast, since he’s not actually a part of the main story.

Even so, the two moments that he’s here (Both in the beginning and in the mid-credit scene) are two of the coolest parts of the entire flick. We see Ryu beat him in the first tournament (As Evil Ryu, which is something I KNEW they should have saved for a sequel since it could have been its own story), and then during the mid-credits, when Bison visits him.

I actually love this. Sagat is such an important character that I’m glad that they’re going to spend more time with him in the sequel (IF there’s a sequel). He deserves the spotlight.

I Can't Believe I'm Saying This, But Dan Was The Best Character In The Entire Movie

If you were to tell me that Andrew Schulz as Dan would be the best part of this movie, I genuinely would not have believed you, but lo and behold, he is really the only character I genuinely loved in this film. What’s strange, though, is that Ken seems to be the joke character in this movie, whereas Dan has always filled that role in the games.

Now, that’s not to say that Dan isn’t a figurative punching bag in this film. He is. A lot of the best jokes are about just how lame he is, but he’s also the character who feels like he has the most heart. He is, dare I say, the moral compass of this movie.

You see, Dan is Ken’s best friend in this version, and he sticks by his side no matter what. He acts as his business partner, but he’s not using him as one might expect. Instead, he formerly trained with Ryu and Ken, and he’s been Ken’s best friend when Ryu seemingly abandoned him.

He also has what I thought was the funniest line in the movie, and it concerns Taco Bell. You’ll know what I mean if you’ve seen it. But, yeah. Dan is the best character in the Street Fighter movie. Who would have thought? However, there’s actually another character I really liked, too.

This M. Bison Is Also Nothing Like The Game, But I Like This Version Anyway

Will anybody ever beat Raul Julia as M. Bison? Probably not, and unfortunately, David Dastmalchian doesn't come close. That said, given the material, Dastmalchian actually did an amazing job in this film, and like Dan, he was another one of the movie’s highlights.

Dastmalchian makes this M. Bison flamboyant, which really makes him stand out. He is obsessed with getting buff, and the only way to do that (in his mind) is through harnessing Psycho Power. The best way he thinks he can do this is through Ryu’s dark Hadou (basically his “murderous intent”), and he thinks getting him in the tournament will make this a reality.

This Bison is also pretty weird. He’s obsessed with feet, has a gladiatorial prison with Blanka…for some reason, and ostensibly gets aroused when he brands people with his insignia.

He's also so deadpan. Like Julia, Dastmalchian seems to be taking the movie much more seriously than it deserves, and when he says ridiculous lines, he fully commits to them. So, while he's not like the game's Bison, I still loved his performance.

Yes, Street Fighter Is A MAJOR Disappointment, But It Had Its Moments

In the end, there was a lot more I disliked about this movie than I liked (for example, for a movie that takes place in 1993, they sure have a lot of anachronisms when it comes to the soundtrack - like they play “Many Men (Wish Death)” when 50 Cent comes out as Balrog…though that was pretty cool. Even so, while it did have its moments, they could have been much stronger.

For example, I like that there's a tournament in this movie, but we barely see any of it. It's cool that there are special moves from the game, but they feel half-hearted at times. I also love how all of the characters are here, but some are woefully underused (like Zangeif!). It's also fun, but maybe too fun at times (as in goofy). The story is also all over the place.

So, yeah. A decent movie, but not what I hoped for.

Nikki from Obsession has been haunting Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood all season, and she’s been a big hit. So, I’ve been wondering when Inde Navarrette might make an appearance at the theme park to see her character, and it finally happened this week.

Navarrette, who wasn’t famous before Obsession became one of the most talked-about movies on the 2026 release schedule, just went to her first Horror Nights since the game-changing role. Check out her posing with one of the scare actors who roam the park all night as Nikki:

I can’t stop looking at this photo. It’s too good. Navarrette posed with that unmistakable sad face Nikki dons in the movie that’s become a meme. She’s also holding up a “One Wish Churro,” which is a delicious HHN exclusive being served during the Universal Studios Hollywood event. I’ve tried it, and it’s very much worth it. It tastes like Oreos, and I definitely kept the box it came in.

It’s great to see one of Universal’s Nikki actors with Inde Navarrette, because it really highlights how well they are doing to portray the Obsession character for theme park fans. If you haven’t seen it in action, here’s one video from a guest:

Universal Studios' Nikki has become a viral sensation that guests can’t stop trying to look for and get videos of. When I went to Horror Nights myself, I learned how difficult it is to find Nikki, but that makes it extra special for those who do. I do have to wonder if any fans that night did a double take seeing both the Nikki scare actor and Navarrette on the same night.

The X-Men actress previously said it was her “dream” to see Obsession have a haunted house at Universal. She said she goes “every year” and also shared her excitement to see the Sinners house, and she finally went! Here’s what she told Cosmopolitan about the annual theme park spectacular:

Since Obsession came out in May, and HHN started planning their houses over a year in advance, there wasn’t time for a whole haunted house to be crafted. But I absolutely love that Nikki ended up being part of Universal’s spooky season event.

At this year’s HHN, we did a ranking of both events in Hollywood and Orlando. We found that the Sinners house and the Ozzy Osbourne houses made the top five at each one. Sometimes celebrities are just like the rest of us, and I’m not talking about when they disguise themselves as "regular people." I’m talking about the egregious amount of time we all spend scrolling through TikTok or looking at memes. (Just admit it, we all do it.) To highlight this idea, someone asked Kim Kardashian if she "doomscrolls" (like we all do), and she got real.

At this point, it’s a common fact that Kardashian keeps up with online chatter and has proven she knows how to take (and give) a joke, but this one may be the best yet. One fan, @itscoffee.bean, asked the important question after checking out the reality queen’s page. She notes that when comparing her social media to her sisters, Khloé and Kourtney, she doesn’t have any reposts. This led the fan to ask, “Does she doomscroll?” And well, Kardashian had an answer, as she commented:

Not only does Kardashian know how to make a point, but she knows how to get fans in a lighthearted debate over her internet usage. Just responding, "Well I found this," has fans in disagreement over whether or not she actually "found" the video. Some fans seem to question the All's Fair star's legitimacy in finding the video. One fan, @gabriellagram, argues in a commentsbycelebs post about this video that, “She was sent this a thousand times she didn’t find a thing 😂.”

However, others disagree. While she stays busy between raising four kids and her reality/acting projects, fans don’t believe this stops her from having a good scroll online. Some even suggest she uses a fake page to check out what people are saying, and I hope that’s true. Meanwhile, @natashalynmyles gave us quite the throwback:

This is referring to the online chat website which Kardashian notably tried out back in 2012 on Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 7, Episode 5 “The Man in the Memoir.” So it’s not a far stretch that the video came across her page while she was online surfing. Though the reality star took a break from doomscrolling long enough to film Season 2 of her legal drama All’s Fair, which will hit the 2026 TV schedule on November 4.

Speaking of... Kardashian has also seen the online criticism over the Ryan Murphy drama, and it hasn’t deterred her. Despite receiving harsh reviews from critics, the audience loved the "camp classic" series enough to warrant a renewal. You can expect the drama to be just as messy in the upcoming season as it is in her family’s reality series, The Kardashians, which just premiered on October 8 with Season 8. Two episodes in, and they’re already spilling the tea (and not just about Lewis Hamilton). Both series can be watched with a Hulu subscription.

Now this just leaves one question: Will Kardashian see this article about her seeing a video about her doomscrolling?

We’re still living in the high of all this Spider-Man content we’ve gotten this year, and I’m here for it. Though some fans are more dedicated than others about producing unique "artistic interpretations" of the newest movie. In fact, someone recreated Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s bathhouse scene in LEGO, and I can’t get enough.

If you’ve seen the latest installment, then you’re already aware that when Yelena shows up on screen then all bets (or shirts) are off. Natasha’s younger sister has certainly been a scene-stealer every time she has shown up, and apparently that translates to LEGO. The scene (almost) perfectly captures the scene in which Peter visits Yelena at her “office.” (Otherwise known as the scene where she calls his problems “small potatoes.”) The LEGO scene recreates this interaction right down to Yelena’s messy hairstyle, and all credit goes to Trevor Carlee who posted the video on his Instagram:

The newest Spider-Man, which totally killed at the box office btw, owes at least some of its charm to the humor. Whether it was Peter "borrowing" clothes or the spa scene, Brand New Day delivered. In large part thanks to Florence Pugh’s dynamic with Tom Holland, which was definitely a favorite part of the movie for many fans. Before you ask, Yelena will be back again. When we do see her again, I fully expect Yelena to be her normal snarky self in Doomsday, and her humor will definitely be needed given the ‘end of the world’ vibes.

Though this LEGO scene gave fans something to hold them over until then, and proves that the well-received Spider-Man follow-up continues to thrive. Not even web shooters could hold fans back from freaking out:

I second the request to have more Yelena. Anyone who agrees can raise their hand. However, there was a minor complaint with the LEGO scene that kept it from being 100% perfect. A few fans, such as @benknight.815, pointed out, “Anyone else waiting for peter’s feet to pop up?” Others subtly left GIFs or screenshots of the moment when Peter's feet stick up at the pool mid-conversation. While that little detail seems to be missing, I still think this is one of the best fan interpretations I’ve seen.

The Spidey scene certainly helps keep us from overthinking (or is it just me?) about the Doomsday trailers while we wait for the movie to finally hit the 2026 schedule on December 18. Plus, we have VisionQuest which can be watched with a Disney+ subscription.

Until Doomsday arrives, I think Carlee should recreate other scenes from the movie. Perhaps, Peter borrowing clothes. Now, I know I’m not the only one thinking it, but someone should definitely drop the creator the suggestion.

The Reacher franchise on Prime Video just can’t seem to slow down on the 2026 TV schedule. Both Season 4 of the action drama and the first season of its new spinoff, Neagley, have been taking over the streamer. Now, as both shows work on new seasons, I've been wondering if the franchise could expand even more. Well, Jack Reacher author Lee Child has an idea for another spinoff, and I’m totally on board.

Child’s Jack Reacher series has 30 books and counting, meaning there are plenty of stories and characters to adapt. That's an overwhelming task, but it isn’t stopping the author from pitching his ideas, especially given the fact that Reacher's first spinoff series launched recently and it was renewed for Season 2. So, on the heels of the critically acclaimed Neagley and the release of Child's latest book, Chain Reaction, he spoke to Collider about potentially expanding the TV franchise through the role of U.S. Army Commanding Officer Major Susan Turner:

Major Susan Turner is first introduced in 2010’s 61 Hours and is brought back for 2013’s Never Go Back. She is portrayed on-screen by Cobie Smulders in the 2016 Jack Reacher sequel film, which is an adaptation of Never Go Back. Now, 13 years after her last book appearance, Susan is making a comeback in Chain Reaction, which was released on Tuesday. Child’s brother, Andrew, has taken over as lead on the novels, and it sounds like he couldn’t be happier about the decision to bring Susan back.

While Susan has yet to find herself in the Reacher show, it’s not too late. The Prime Video hit was recently renewed for Season 6, and Season 5 is in production, so there is plenty of time to get her on board. Plus, it wouldn’t be terrible if Amazon were to just give a Susan spinoff a straight-to-series order, since she’s already established in the books. I would love another Reacher series regardless, but it would be fun to introduce a new character and a new series at the same time.

As for who could play Susan, the possibilities are certainly endless. Given how separate the movies are from the show, I would assume that Smulders would not be in contention to return, but you never know. All I know is that whoever plays her would need to be someone who can hold their own with Alan Ritchson and Maria Sten.

It’s unknown what plans Amazon has for Reacher beyond the next two seasons of the Alan Ritchson-led drama and the second season of Neagley. However, there are plenty of ideas to go around. For now, fans will just have to get their Major Susan Turner fix with the latest Jack Reacher novel, Chain Reaction. Meanwhile, all four seasons of Reacher and the first season of Neagley are streaming now with an Amazon Prime subscription.

The rules have certainly changed in regard to how sex scenes are filmed, thanks to the rise of intimacy coordinators on sets. Now, this doesn’t mean we don’t get plenty of steamy content. However, what it does mean is that more technical work goes into creating such scenes. In a post-#MeToo Movement industry, these coordinators also help ensure actors feel comfortable and protected during intimate scenes. So some may wonder how sex scenes filmed before these coordinators. Well, veteran actor Michael Douglas has thoughts.

While this generation may know Douglas as Marvel's Hank Pym, he led adventure films and thrillers in the ‘80s and ‘90s. He was specifically known for his sexier roles in movies like Basic Instinct (1992) and Romancing the Stone (1984). So, naturally, when he spoke to Josh Horowitz, Douglas was crowned the unofficial “king of the sexy thriller” the era of the intimacy coordinator came up. While on Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, Douglas got straight to the point about how filming intimate scenes years ago:

Douglas certainly has a lot of experience with these scenes, with memorable moments from Fatal Attraction (1987) being prime examples. Back in the early aughts, intimate scenes were seemingly required of the actors if it was in the script. However, some performers have since shared stories where trust was taken advantage of on set. For instance, Basic Instinct's Sharon Stone has made claims involving inappropriate requests for nudity amid production. With that, many now consider intimacy coordinators to be essential.

The Wall Street icon makes a fair point in that filming sensual scenes does come down to trust. Also, that's another job of intimacy coordinators: to ensure there is trust. This is important for series like The Boys or a steamy romance like Off Campus to have them. Still, it is interesting to hear Douglas’ perspective, given much of his work predates the coordinators. While speaking to Horowitz, he spoke more about filming sex scenes and compared them to another aspect of filming:

Douglas shared similar thoughts in the past when asked about intimacy coordinators. At the time, he said, “Sex scenes are like fight scenes, it’s all choreographed.” Douglas also shared that he felt the job also took away from some of the creative control: “It feels like executives taking control away from filmmakers.” But, ultimately, he could understand why they would be needed.

To that point, we’ve reportedly seen a decline in intimate scenes on network TV and in movies. Also, apparently, nudity has even fallen out of favor in some viewing circles. However, as I said, there's still steamy (and bingeable) content. For anyone wanting such that, I'd recommend Heated Rivalry or even Bridgerton. For the most part, though, younger actors seem to have a great understanding of working with intimacy coordinators.

Michael Douglas' nuance is also appreciated, though. On that note, I recommend cinephiles go check out Douglas’ filmography to see just why he’s the “king of the sexy thriller.”

When I walked out of my press screening for Clayface last week, I was pretty sure about what would happen on the day reviews came out for the next of upcoming DC movies: mixed reactions. And here we are: I called it, but there’s something a lot of critics are connecting on that I was more on the fence about. Curiouser and curiouser.

As far as where I stand on Clayface, I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5. I think DC’s shot at one of their own horror movies has highs and lows, but overall I’m happy it exists, and that I went out to see it. However, I was more impressed with Matt Hagen’s character arc than its horror.

The movie especially grabbed me in the second half and made up for a lot of gross moments in the first half that started to feel more flashy than visceral to me as the movie went along. But if there’s one thing other critics are thoroughly praising, it’s the body horror. As The Hollywood Reporter’s Frank Scheck wrote:

Look, I think Clayface’s body horror is effective. As many reviews point out, the plane sequence is a masterclass in tension. I definitely won’t be forgetting seeing that scene in the theater anytime soon. Still, I’m surprised more reviews are talking about how the movie sometimes feels like it’s simply setting us up for the next bloody scene. Here’s what The Guardian’s Benjamin Lee said on the topic:

Clayface’s strengths for me lie in its ability to take a comic book character and give him a distinct standalone film that doesn’t feel too tethered to DC’s larger world. It feels as much like an experiment, just like its protagonist, Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries), becomes during Clayface. I thought the gore was well-played in some sequences, and totally lacking in others. I just don’t think horror fans are going to inherently like this just because there’s a lot of gore. Here’s what Deadline’s Glenn Garner says:

I appreciated this honest take from Michael Walsh for Nerdist. He revealed that the movie’s body horror is difficult to watch, which I think will ring true for a lot of viewers:

When CinemaBlend spoke to director James Watkins, he talked about his journey to balance the horror. Obviously, coming into this movie, it just wouldn’t feel right if there were not enough scares, but I wanted to feel them more as attached to his emotional arc rather than simply another set piece. Here’s how Empire’s Sophie Butcher characterized the flick:

After initial reactions had us excited for its “funny” and “romantic” elements, the reviews definitely build a more rounded approach to the upcoming film. We’ll have to see how successful Clayface is in theaters when it comes out this weekend and if this experiment will inspire more horror titles from DC Studios.

Heated Rivalry is in production for its second season, meaning the book-to-screen adaptation will be making a return to television screens in the near future. Unfortunately, that won’t happen on the 2026 TV schedule, though, so fans will have to wait a little bit longer to be reunited with Shane and Ilya. However, they won’t have to wait long to be reunited with Hudson Williams, because I just learned that the actor who broke big for playing Shane has a new streaming show dropping this week.

Yes, as we wait to see him as Shane Hollander again, Williams will be making his return to television sooner than I thought. This will happen thanks to the show Yaga, which premieres this Friday on AMC+ in the United States and Crave in Canada. According to EW, the new series is a modern-detective thriller reimagining of the Slavic witch legend and stars a pretty stacked cast. Along with Williams, Noah Reid, Clark Backo and Carrie-Anne Moss round out the ensemble that showrunner Kat Sandler calls “the Canadian Avengers".

Having to wait for Heated Rivalry’s second season has been terrible, especially since it’s almost been a year since the series premiered. However, Connor Storrie has been busy with an appearance on Criminal Minds: Evolution and hosting Saturday Night Live, and now Williams is finally getting his time to shine. I could not be happier for him, and I could not be happier for me, either, because Yaga's release is right around the corner.

This new show initially started as a theater piece from Sandler’s Theatre Brouhaha company, which she established with her Queens University classmate, Tom McGee, in 2010. After the first two performances in 2019, Sandler’s friend and executive producer Mackenzie Donaldson pitched an adaptation to Crave, with AMC eventually picking it up for the U.S.

Yaga follows a private investigator searching for a missing fishery heir. Williams plays said heir, Henry, as well as Henry’s roommate, Logan Casey, who looks a lot like him. The actor shared it was “gratifying” to land Yaga, and he was hopeful that if he ventures out, the Heated Rivalry fans will follow.

Even if it’s not Heated Rivalry, and Henry and Logan are definitely not Shane, I’m excited to see how this series turns out, especially since Williams will be playing two characters. But I’m really just excited to see the actor back on my screen in something new as the wait for Heated Rivalry Season 2 continues.

Yaga does only have eight episodes, so it will be an easy watch, and it sounds very entertaining. Plus, fans can always go back and rewatch Heated Rivalry when they’re done, which is something I definitely plan on doing. I've felt weird about Andi and Nigel since the start of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, and the latest episode really was the nail in the coffin. Shortly after Andi arrived in Australia, Nigel took her to a supermarket and immediately popped his shoes off. Andi had her doubts, but according to Nigel, it was perfectly legal.

Of course, anyone watching this season of The Other Way amid the 2026 TV schedule can tell Nigel isn't necessarily into conventional things. With that, I had to wonder if the shoes off in the store etiquette was actually fine because Australians culturally embrace it, or if this was just something a polyamorous Aussie in wizard robes insisted was fine because it's technically not illegal.

Walking Around Barefoot In Public Is Allowed In Australia

I was surprised to after doing some searching on the internet and finding that, yes, it is perfectly normal and not uncommon to see people barefoot in any space. Even supermarkets will allow people to walk around without shoes and do not restrict them from doing so.

To an American, this could be more shocking than finding out Stig Da Artist was a legitimate celebrity in his home country. "No shirt, no shoes, no service" is such an embedded phrase in our culture here in the States that I would immediately notice if anyone was missing their clothing. But, apparently, Australia does things a bit differently, though as can sometimes be the case with 90 Day Fiancé, everything was not as it seemed.

There Are Mixed Opinions Amongst Aussies When It Comes To Grocery Store Etiquette

Similar to when Sumit Singh performed a fake Indian house ceremony, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way was somewhat misleading in the way it presented this unique quirk of Aussie life. While there are people like Nigel who think "shoes off all the time" is the move, there are more than a few natives I found in random message boards online who agree that no shoes in supermarkets is unhygienic and gross.

While it's certainly different from how we handle such matters things in the United States, that's really only at a social acceptance level. While I may raise an eyebrow at someone running into a store without wearing shoes, I would be equally surprised if anyone actually refused them service or made them leave Walmart because of it.

Truth be told, Andi and Nigel have bigger fish to fry, it seems. The Other Way couple still hasn't nailed down how their ethical nonmonogamy arrangement works, as Andi thought it'd be over once she arrived in Australia. Viewers ave seen lots of drama in 90 Day Fiancé when more than one lover is involved, so in the near future, I'm expecting that issue to take precedence over wearing shoes.

As a huge fan of Avatar, I had high hopes for the new series, Avatar: Seven Havens…and then I watched the first three episodes, and I had mixed feelings. This bugged me, since I’ve watched every season of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, so a new show in the Avatar universe seemed like a cause for celebration, especially since the Avatar Aang movie was such a boon.

Even though I wasn’t blown away by the first three episodes, I’m now all in after the last three episodes that came out on October 16th, and which you can watch with a Paramount Plus subscription. So, here’s why I now view Avatar: Seven Havens as a worthy successor to the Avatar name.

I Was On The Fence About Pavi And Nisha, But Now I LOVE Them

A lot of people like to debate which show is better: Avatar: The Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra. Personally, I prefer the latter, but I think a lot of it comes down to which Avatar you prefer. Some pick Aang because he’s more whimsical and so, so powerful. Others pick Korra because her adventure felt more engaging. However, both shows really live or die on the world and characters that surround the Avatar.

This is something I kept in mind while watching the first three episodes of Seven Havens because I just wasn’t enjoying Pavi or her twin sister, Nisha. The issue, at least with the first three episodes, was that they were just TOO young. Nine may not seem like that big of a difference from Aang’s twelve, but it certainly felt like a big gap in those first three episodes. So, I was really hoping that the other ancillary characters would make up for how much I disliked the Avatars this time around.

These last three episodes changed EVERYTHING, and I love these characters now. I think it was Episode 6, “Night of the Afflicted,” that changed my mind. In the episode, Pavi is experiencing phantom limb pains, and she has to see a doctor. Her sister, Nisha, is supportive every step of the way, and I just love their dynamic now as sisters, whereas I found their youthful energy kind of annoying before. So, in other words, they’ve grown on me.

The Intrigue Is Growing At A Fever Pitch

Another thing that’s got me hooked is all of the intrigue in this show. You see, the Avatar is viewed as a villain this time around after Korra apparently caused a cataclysmic event. Now, people HATE the Avatar, and if a new one were to come along, they would be public enemy number one.

Well, being that Nisha and Pavi can’t just remain in hiding forever, they accidentally get spotted doing multiple bending techniques - a trait only the Avatar can do - and now citizens think the powers that be are aware of the Avatar’s existence (which they are), and that they’re hiding them (which is also true). However, keeping Pavi and Nisha’s existence a secret is necessary, since they are a huge asset, but they are not mature enough (Or so the powers that be believe) to be revealed.

This is causing a lot of tension since the secret is getting out, whether people are ready for it or not, and these last three episodes made that a through-line. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I Also Like How This Show Seems To Be A Commentary On PTSD

Lastly, I love that this show is trying to say something. ATLA was a commentary on genocide, and TLOK was…well, I don’t know if it was a commentary on anything. I just found it to be engaging (and ahead of its time).

Now that I’ve seen these next three episodes, I definitely think this show is a commentary on warfare and PTSD. Children who can bend are conscripted and taken away from their families, and those who have survived the Cataclysm still seem to be reeling from the event.

It’s all very dire (and mature) stuff, and I’m now much more engaged than ever. These next three episodes can’t get here soon enough!

Back in the day, Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold – who married in 1990 – were arguably one of the most high-profile couples in Hollywood. Not only were they romantically involved, but they were also business partners. Part of that collaboration involved working together on Barr’s eponymous sitcom, Roseanne (which is streamable with a Peacock subscription). In the decades since their divorce in 1994, Arnold and Barr have been open about their issues with one another. Yet, now, Arnold is going viral after being complimented by Barr.

Why Did Roseanne Barr Compliment Ex-Husband Tom Arnold?

On Roseanne, Barr and Arnold also worked with Chuck Lorre (and, yes, that Chuck Lorre). Now a prolific name in TV, Lorre was a writer and EP on Barr’s show, and he has rarely ever minced words about working with its lead actress. Lorre has shared more thoughts on Barr during interviews and in his newly released memoir, Sitcom. For instance, on the Dinner’s on Me podcast, Lorre claimed Barr hated having writers. Lorre also claimed she found the “premise of anyone putting words in a stand-up comedian's mouth is fundamentally flawed.”

Lorre ultimately worked on the show from 1990 to 1992 before being relieved of his duties. As for why he remained with the show as long as he did, the Big Bang Theory EP said he needed the money and did not want to go back to poverty. Tom Arnold eventually saw the comments and blasted Lorre on X and ended his post by musing that he wished “everyone could've seen his arrogant, sad clown face the day Roseanne made me fire him.”

Roseanne Barr eventually became aware of what Tom Arnold said, and the latter’s comments came up during a recent interview she did with The Hollywood Reporter, while talking about her new show and issues with The Conners. Upon being asked about her former spouse’s comments, Barr was complimentary (in her own specific way), saying:

That some significant praise from the She-Devil star, to say the least. With that, Arnold posted a reaction to social media that’s since gone viral.

Tom Arnold Dropped A Viral Post After Seeing Roseanne Barr’s Praise

Arnold eventually returned to X to drop the other post, and it features a screenshot of Barr’s comments to THR. With that, the Tom Show alum said this:

I’m not sure if this was the kumbaya moment the public expected to get in 2026 but, hey, who am I to argue with it? Fans also seem to be surprised and happy, based on the comments of the post, which currently has nearly 10,000 likes. This all comes on the heels of Barr having a testy back-and-forth with fellow Roseanne alum Michael Fishman. That war of words resulted in Barr dishing out 13 f-bombs and eventually calling Fishman a “worm.” At this point, the former DJ Conner actor has seemingly moved on from the situation.

When it comes to Roseanne Barr’s personal relationship with Tom Arnold, I’m not sure the public should expect to see them make up any further. I suppose if anything, though, the former couple’s recent exchange might prove that sometimes people can surprise one another.

Let me be so clear: Xaden Riorson is my number one book boyfriend, and I’ve been dying to see who would be cast as him in the book-to-screen adaptation of Fourth Wing. Along with that, I couldn’t wait to see who they picked to play Violet. Now, Emilio Sakraya and Esther McGregor have confirmed their casting as Xaden and Violet, respectively, and Sakraya’s response specifically killed me.

For those who might not be familiar with the books, the story follows Violet as she enters the Riders Quadrant at Basgiath War College. There, she learns how to ride a dragon, and she also meets Xaden, the wingleader who wants to kill her. It’s a real enemies-to-lovers situation we have here, and these two characters and their love story are the heart of the Empyrean series.

So, casting these two is very important to the fans. Now, after years of waiting for Fourth Wing updates, it’s done. In response to the news that Esther McGregor and Emilio Sakraya would be playing the two main characters of Fourth Wing, author Rebecca Yarros said:

I'm Dead Over Emilio Sakraya's Reaction To Playing Xaden, And Esther McGregor Posted A Sweet Message About Being Violet

OK, so if you’ve read Fourth Wing and its sequel, Iron Flame, you know that the throne room moment is a very iconic scene in the second book. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but just know that it’s steamy, bold, and highly talked-about. Knowing about this intimate moment between Violet and Xaden, my jaw hit the floor when I saw the quote Emilio Sakraya used to celebrate his casting as the wingleader. On his Instagram story, he wrote alongside the post Prime Video uploaded announcing the news:

Well, we might not get to see this moment play out in the Fourth Wing show until Season 2, but it definitely shows that the Xaden actor knows exactly what he’s gotten himself into. It also proves he’s here for all the romance and spice included in these romantasy books. Between that and the fact that he looks like how I pictured this character (he was a popular fancast for a reason), I think he’ll be the perfect Xaden.

Now, while that reaction shook me to my core, McGregor’s post on IG made my heart very happy, as she wrote alongside the casting announcement:

The lightning bolt is so fitting! And I love how stoked she clearly is about playing Violet Sorrengail.

Now, I can’t wait to watch her and Emilio Sakraya as Violet and Xaden with my Amazon Prime subscription. Through these reactions and more, it’s clear to me that they love this project, and it seems like they’re perfect fits for the parts. So, now the wait is really on to see if they can make it across the parapet and ride with the dragons.

2026 has been a great year for movies across all genres. For instance, sci-fi fans were treated to Phil Lord and Chris Miller's book to screen adaptation of Project Hail Mary, which was a wild box office success. Ryan Gosling's performance as Ryland Grace was universally acclaimed, but it turns out that playing the role opposite a fictional alien was challenging. Luckily the great Julia Roberts helped him as he acted in the film alone.

Reviews of Project Hail Mary praised Gosling's multilayered performance in the film (which is streaming with an Amazon Prime subscription), but he had to do a ton of acting without a scene partner. During a recent Q& A about the movie (via IndieWire), the Barbie actor spoke about how challenging his role was. As he put it:

This makes a great deal of sense. Ryland's story in Project Hail Mary is told across multiple years, with the story pivoting from him alone in space and flashbacks to his time on Earth. It required Ryan Gosling bring lots of different layers to the character, and he had the added challenge of having tons of scenes opposite the scene-stealing alien Rocky.

While there was a puppet Rocky on set, it apparently had some struggles. In fact, Gosling compared it to the infamous breaking Jaws shark. While filming Project Hail Mary he went outside for air and met Julia Roberts. As he put it:

Clearly the isolation was getting to the La La Land actor, and it sounds like the After the Hunt set was a much-needed change of pace full of fellow actors to interact with. Julia Roberts didn't already have a friendship with Gosling, but she immediately invited him to set in order to give him the boost in morale that he so needed in the midst of filming.

But Roberts didn't stop there. She helped to find another solution to Gosling's sense of loneliness in the science-fiction movie's set. Namely by creating a new puppet for him to act opposite. In his words:

Oh, to be a fly on the wall. I'd give anything to see what Moppy Ringwald looked like, especially in juxtaposition to the high-tech set of Project Hail Mary. If Gosling ends up snatching some trophies for his performance during Awards Season, I hope that both Julia and Moppy get their flowers during his acceptance speeches. Perhaps there's even a photo of the cleaning tool-turned co-star to be shared. Fingers crossed.

Project Hail Mary is streaming on Amazon as part of the 2026 movie release list. We'll just have to see if Ryan Gosling actually ends up getting nominated for major acting awards like the Oscars. After all, the movie was universally acclaimed and made a ton of money at the box office.

Marshals, which is airing its second season on the 2026 TV schedule, saw Luke Grimes and three of his original co-stars return to the universe of Yellowstone. However, they weren’t the only veterans of this franchise created by Taylor Sheridan working on this CBS series. That became clear when CinemaBlend spoke to Ash Santos, who plays Andrea, as she revealed something their show brought over from 1923 (and I have to say, I never would have guessed this).

As the cast of Marshals got back in the saddle, literally and figuratively, for Season 2, Santos opened up to us about the cowboy camp they went through for the CBS series and her background with riding. When asked how the horses they work with are as scene partners, she revealed that she is not her horse’s first scene partner in the Yellowstone universe, explaining:

Isn’t that crazy to think about? From Santos’ perspective as an actor, it’d be wild to be riding the same horse Harrison Ford rode in the prequel series that took place 100 years earlier.

From a story perspective, in 1923, Harrison Ford played Jacob Dutton, the uncle of Elsa, John and Spencer Dutton. So, that would make him Kayce Dutton’s great, great uncle (or great, great, great uncle depending on how you interpret the Dutton family tree and who the grandfather of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton is). So, Jacob’s horse has, in a very Hollywood way, time traveled into the present so Andrea can ride.

Jokes and family tree mumbo jumbo aside, it is really cool that the horses get to work on various shows in the Yellowstone universe. According to Santos, that makes them perfect professionals too, as she explained:

That is so impressive, and I’d assume the horses' experience on other Yellowstone shows has helped them get to this point. Along with Santos’ horse, who was on 1923, Grimes has ridden the same horse, Remy, on both Yellowstone and Marshals, per the Television Academy. So, these animals are very well acquainted with this Western world.

With Saturday Night Live still on the 2026 TV schedule, the late night series is on peoples' minds, and stories from the show's past keep surfacing. Though, not all of them are a barrel of laughs. Jon Lovitz has built a career around being blunt, usually to hilarious effect. When it came to his friendship with Chris Farley, that same bluntness came from a much more painful place. The SNL veteran recalled confronting Farley about his drug use, including one particularly harsh warning that is heartbreaking in hindsight.

During an appearance on Michael Rosenbaum's Inside of You podcast, Lovitz opened up about his attempts to help the late comedian, who died in 1997 at just 33. Both men are remembered as SNL cast members who made an enormous impact during relatively short runs, though Lovitz's memories of Farley are especially difficult to hear.

The star remembered what was going on with Farley personally during the period, and spoke about even reaching out to other performers for help. He'd hoped spending time with Farley away from Hollywood might allow for some advice and help to finally get through. He recalled:

It's hard to hear that story knowing what ultimately happened. Chris Farley became one of the show's most beloved performers, creating unforgettable SNL characters such as Matt Foley, the motivational speaker who lived in a van down by the river. He later teamed up with David Spade for Tommy Boy and Black Sheep on the big screen, with the former delivering some of the funniest scenes and most quotable lines of his movie career.

Behind the scenes, though, Lovitz was increasingly worried about his friend's substance use. The Rat Race actor recalled renting a beach house with their manager, Marc Gurvitz, where he repeatedly tried confronting Farley. He continued:

That is an incredibly harsh thing to say to someone you love. Lovitz knew it, too, but he was terrified of losing his friend. What struck me most was how Farley apparently turned even these conversations into comedy. Lovitz continued:

It's a heartbreaking exchange, especially because Lovitz remembered laughing while knowing how serious the situation had become. Farley died Dec. 18, 1997. Medical examiners determined that an accidental overdose of cocaine and morphine caused his death, with heart disease contributing.

Lovitz was hardly alone in struggling with Farley's death. Fellow SNL alum Adam Sandler has said it remains difficult to perform his musical tribute to Farley, even after singing it countless times over the years. The Wedding Singer standout concluded:

Nearly three decades later, that frustration still comes through. So does the love. Lovitz is one of several former castmates who have kept sharing memories of Farley, including Chris Rock, who has said he's reminded of his late friend whenever he watches Adam Sandler perform.

Lovitz saw the danger his friend was in and tried to reach out. Hearing him revisit those conversations now, it's hard to miss how badly he wishes the story had ended differently.

Amid much speculation, it's being reported that Jay-Z will headline the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show. That news has unsurprisingly sparked a number of reactions from the general public. With that, Jeopardy!'s James Holzhauer had the perfect response. More specifically, Holzhauer -- one of Jeopardy!'s biggest winners -- dropped a take that perfectly referenced past drama involving the storied game show.

Beyond his wild gameplay strategy, Holzhauer has made headlines a few times for his quips about the beloved quiz show or jabs toward host Ken Jennings. This time, he took a shot at the executive of Roc Nation and made an amazing joke in the process. Take a look:

For those who don't get it, that's a picture of Mike Richards, the former executive producer of Jeopardy!. Richards made waves when he announced himself as the new host of the series in 2021, despite being one of the decision-makers who oversaw a litany of celebrity guests and hosts after Alex Trebek's death.

The situation isn't quite the same, but I see what James Holzhauer is getting at. Jay-Z isn't an unknown, but as one of the key decision-makers who rules on who performs the Super Bowl Halftime show, it does seem odd that he can pick himself. He also hasn't released an album in close to a decade, and he opted not to join his wife, Beyoncé, onstage when she performed at the big game back in 2013.

Mike Richards ultimately stepped down as Jeopardy! host when news of past controversies came to light. As for Jay-Z -- whose real name is Shawn Carter -- I'm not sure if any changes might happen. While Jay may not be so culturally relevant at the moment, it does feel as though recent Super Bowl halftime shows have been geared toward millennials in recent years. Some of Jay-Z's biggest hits came out during my formative years, so I'd be lying if I thought he was unworthy of the honor.

All this to say, Carter does have some controversy tied to his name in 2026. His connection to Diddy and various lawsuits does make me wonder if there will be some pushback from the public when it comes to him performing. Of course, that's assuming he will definitely be the performer, as there hasn't been any official word on that happening, as of this writing.

Other names have been floated in recent weeks about who may be approached to perform. Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus were rumored to be in the running, and that again fell in line with the idea that Roc Nation was looking into acts that would appeal to a millennial audience. We'll see if the news is made official soon, and what people will say should Jay-Z be locked in as the choice.

Jeopardy!, meanwhile, airs weekdays in syndication, so check your local listings for showtimes. James Holzhauer isn't currently on the program, but maybe he'll pop up at a tournament in the future before too long.

Over the years, we’ve learned a lot about the negative experiences the women of One Tree Hill went through. In the wake of sexual harassment allegations against its creator, Mark Schwahn, stories about how the cast and crew were mistreated have come to light. Now, Sophia Bush has shared a story about how a scene involving a “nude bra” was a breaking point for her and this show.

This conversation came up because Bush was asked about pushing back against the sexualization of Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill. Amid the discussion on Call Her Daddy, the actress recalled one moment she considers a turning point. It involved a scene where Brooke broke into her neighbors’ backyard to go hottubbing. When it came to wardrobe for the scene, the actress was given a nude strapless bra. She pushed back against the choice, explaining:

It would seem Bush is describing a scene in Season 1, Episode 11, where Brooke and Lucas sneak into a hot tub. In the sequence, the actress takes off her clothes outside the hot tub, and then, while in the water, she removes her bra.

While they filmed that, she was given a nude strapless bra, as she described, and she actively asked to wear something else. They said no, and that was a breaking point for the actress, as she explained:

Looking back, Sophia Bush said she was fearless when it came to defending herself during these moments. She literally called out her boss at one point, explaining:

As the conversation went on, Alex Cooper quoted part of Bush’s book in which she said that her boss told her she’s “the one with the fucking rack everyone wants to see.” In response, the star of the beloved CW show said:

She continued saying that in the world of pop culture during the early 2000s, she and other women were treated like “blow-up dolls.”

In the years since, she and her co-stars have been open about the mistreatment and sexualization they faced while working on this show about young romance. For example, Hilarie Burton, who played Peyton, spoke out about how the abuse she faced on set affects how she parents her kids. This latest story from Bush is also not the first time she’s spoken about disagreements she got into over how Brooke was being portrayed.

Despite this very negative situation, Bush does love the show, she defends how it ended, and she hosted a re-watch podcast with her co-stars. However, she’s also very candid about what she went through and the mistreatment she faced.
