XM And Sirius Merger Gets Department Of Justice Blessing

XM Radio and Sirius are, after a year, starting to see results of their planned merger. The deal hasn’t made it past all scrutiny yet, but the Department of Justice has given the lovely couple its blessing. Now that the merger has passed through anti-trust problems, we’re off to the FCC.

Net Neutrality Bill Hits House Floor

Keeping the big cable and ISP companies in check is a major issue right now. Companies like Comcast are currently facing charges that they throttle user’s bandwidth down depending on use of p2p software, even though customers are paying for a certain level of service. It’s a despicable practice and a new bill was introduced to the House by Representatives Ed Markey (D-MA) and Chip Pickering (R-MS)
