Subscribe To Watch The First Trailer From Caitlyn Jenner's Docu-Series Updates
What a week it has been for the newly renamed and revamped Caitlyn Jenner, or at least for the world awaiting that renaming and revamping. Hot on the heels of Jenner’s big reveal on the cover of Vanity Fair, E! has released the very first trailer for their upcoming docu-series focusing on the transition from Bruce to Caitlyn, which is going by the title I Am Cait. Check it out below.
With some delightfully airy music in the background, we get to see Caitlyn in action for the first time, and viewers can adjust to her post-Bruce life in much the same way she does. Sure, it’s all been taped and edited and everything, but sitting down with a camera and a crew in a room is entirely different from having that footage go out into a world where social media reactions are constant and not always sanitary. (The Caitlyn Jenner Twitter account amassed over 2.3 million followers in the past two days.)

We get to see Jenner applying makeup and talking about how big of a change it is to have someone do it for her professionally. There’s got to be some kind of a liberating relief in that.

She also talks about going out into the world for the first time and being accepted as normal – or “the new normal,” as she puts it. And she’s not just talking about the shortlived NBC show from a couple of years ago. Although there was a Keeping Up with the Kardashians episode from earlier this season that was called “The New Normal.” Maybe Kylie or Kendall Jenner will try to copyright that phrase soon.

I Am Cait will run for eight episodes and is set to debut on Sunday, July 26. The docu-series will not only explore what life is like for Caitlyn as a transgender woman, but it will also look at how her changing look and personality have affected the loved ones in her life. I can’t imagine things will get too testy or even slightly as over-the-top as Keeping Up with the Kardashians, though I might be surprised.

So don’t forget to tune into E! on Sunday, July 26, at 9 p.m. ET to spend some time with Cait and her family. Considering how many people tuned into see Jenner’s interview with Diane Sawyer on the on 20/20, I wouldn’t be surprised if I Am Cait turns into a major ratings hit for the network.
