At the end of the day, the team all headed to the wrap party, where Hyneman gave Savage a very special gift. Hyneman’s always been less inclined to be in front of the camera, so we’re happy we got a little window into the parting moment.

It’s always a little sad when a long-running series nears the end of its run on a network or cable channel. Over time, Mythbusters has amassed both a fervent and casual fan base. It’s made a name for itself by busting new myths each season, but also has a healthy audience who tunes in for the reruns. It’s no wonder The Science Channel has plans to pick up the older episodes, soon. In the short-term, there will be one final season of Mythbusters. It will begin airing on January 9, 2016. We'll let you know as soon as more information breaks regarding the final season of the well-liked program. In the meantime, here's what the guys had to say regarding why it's time to wrap up.
