Bones, now heading into season three, stars Emily Deschanel as forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan (who is based on real-life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. Reichs is also credited as a producer on the show). Dr. Brennan specializes in identifying the remains of murder victims, using only their bones. Together with FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), Brennan and her team of scientists (or “squints” as Booth likes to call them) work at the Jeffersonian Institution, in Washington D.C.

When we ended last season, Brennan’s fugitive father reappeared with information from Brennan’s past. On a personal note, Angela and Hodgins are all set to get hitched when their wedding is interrupted - it turns out that Angela is already married (she jumped over a broomstick with a guy in Fiji 4 years earlier!).

This season we can look forward to the squints tackling more awesome cases (Come on! Bones that look like a human glow stick? Awesome!). One thing that I’m hoping will happen is that Brennan and Booth finally resolve some of that sexual tension that they’ve been dealing with for the past 2 seasons!

Sadly, I didn’t watch the first season of Bones, not because I didn’t want to, but because it conflicted with another show that I religiously watched. That being said, I was able to watch season two of Bones and I have to say, this show rocks! It makes me want to go back to school again and become a forensic anthropologist. I want to be a squint! I enjoy this show more than any other “crime drama” show that I’ve watched (yes CSI: New York, that means you!). I do have to note that, as a die-hard obsessed Buffy and Angel fan, my first reason for watching Bones was David Boreanaz. That quickly changed, however, after watching just one episode. Between the cast (all of them, not just Boreanaz) and the strange cases, this show is a high priority on my TiVo season pass!
