It is the question many a fan wonders about. Could the beloved NBC sitcom Friends ever be revisited? In a sea of revivals, the pop culture phenomenon is one series that has not made its triumphant return to television. It turns out you and the show's legions of fans are not the only ones who indulge in the fantasy of a Friends revival -- so does Jennifer Aniston. When asked if the show will ever come back, Aniston responded:

Before that show ended, people were asking if we were coming back. Courteney [Cox] and Lisa [Kudrow] and I talk about it. I fantasize about it. It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don't know what it would look like today, but you never know.

So, this is honestly a hopeful soundbite. Jennifer Aniston not only appreciates the job that made her a household name, she also would not mind seeing what the show would be like in a present-day incarnation. Adding to that sentiment in her interview with InStyle, she says she talks to her former co-stars about it.

Before we get swept up in fantasizing about where Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, and the rest of the gang are these days, we do need to keep in mind the key word is "fantasize." Plus, the Friends' co-creator David Crane has said "never" regarding the idea of potentially reviving the series, which might be a shame, given at least one person seems to be interested.

Fans have definitely had time to think about and miss the sitcom. Following a 10-year run that began in 1994, the show ended in 2004. While Friends has not left the small screen thanks to lucrative syndication, fans have not seen a new episode of the series in nearly 15 years. Thankfully, the cast has remained busy since the show ended. Jennifer Aniston herself has headlined a steady career on the silver screen, and she is coming to Netflix via a new comedy.

While Jennifer Aniston and some of her castmates have discussed the potential of a Friends reboot. The actress is keenly aware that not all of her former co-stars are too apt on the idea of revisiting the series that launched them into megastar status. Continuing, Aniston revealed who that Friends star is and her backup plan in case the powers of persuasion fail to change their minds. Aniston also said:

So many shows are being successfully rebooted. I know Matt LeBlanc doesn't want to be asked that question anymore. But maybe we could talk him into it. Or we just give it some time and then Lisa, Courteney, and I could reboot The Golden Girls and spend our last years together on wicker furniture.

That's right folks! Jennifer Aniston is up for co-starring with her former Friends castmates in a reboot of The Golden Girls. If such a reboot were to ever come to fruition, it is easy to imagine wicker furniture sales skyrocketing. If Aniston and her co-stars could be a leading influencer on hair via Friends, their choice of home décor in a Golden Girls reboot could theoretically not be far behind.

Of course, if a Friends revival actually came to be, it would not come to that. Given all of the drama and laughs that ensued during the decade the show was on, you can only imagine what the characters have been up to since. And one of the most significant questions a reboot could answer is whether the main characters' kids are as good of friends as their parents. A revival may never happen and answer that question, but it is still cool to consider that one.
