Bachelorette Spoilers: Why One Of Hannah's Bachelors Quit In Episode 5

The Bachelorette Hannah Brown crying ABC

SPOILERS ahead for The Bachelorette Season 15, Episode 4, which airs Monday, June 3 on ABC.

Hannah Brown's The Bachelorette Season 15 is seeing two unexpected departures in a row. In last week's Episode 3, Tyler G. left off-screen, with Hannah simply saying he "had to leave," and fans finding out the reasons online. In Episode 4, it's reportedly Luke S. who leaves, after an altercation with Luke P.

UPDATE: Make that Episode 5, since The Bachelorette decided to carry over the drama from Episode 4 to Episode 5, also pushing the Rose Ceremony to the next date. I hate when they do that! But that means the Luke vs. Luke drama will culminate on Tuesday, June 11. Yes, Tuesday. No Monday show next week.

Back to the original post:

Yes, Luke Parker is the center of the drama universe this season (and it sounds like he's not proud of it) and Hannah's affection for him apparently turns Luke Stone away. So Luke S. quits.

As The Bachelorette Season 15, Episode 4 promo noted, the guys will have a rugby match in the June 3 New England-based episode. Luke P. is part of the blue team that reportedly defeats Luke S. and company on the green team. According to spoiler guru Reality Steve, Kevin Fortenberry gets injured and he's the one being taken away in an ambulance in the promo. It's during this date that things get heated between the two Lukes. The promo did show Luke S. telling Luke P. karma is a bitch and he'd get his.

But apparently Luke P. does not get his karma in this episode.

According to Reality Steve, during the cocktail party, Luke S. tried to make it clear to Hannah that Luke P. was too rough during the rugby match and was out to hurt him. Luke S. thought Luke P.'s behavior was uncalled for and was upset by it all. However, when Luke S. talked to Hannah, he apparently felt she took Luke P.'s side too much. So Luke S. quit before the rose ceremony.

So, if these spoilers are as correct as everything else so far this season, Luke Stone leaves of his own accord during the cocktail party. If you want regular elimination spoilers, Steve says we lose Matteo Valles and John Paul Jones (nooooo!) during the rose ceremony.

The Bachelorette Episode 4 promo hinted to Luke P. drama lasting a long time this season, which also fits with Reality Steve's spoilers on the very dramatic final 4 situation, and who Hannah ultimately picks. She is said to be engaged right now to one of the guys we're watching on screen, but it's reportedly not the guy we were originally led to believe she'd pick. Kinda glad about that now.

The Bachelor franchise has a long history of quitters and, at this point in 2019, there have been so many self-eliminations it's not shocking anymore. Time was, it was a big deal when, say, Ali Fedotowsky quit Jake Pavelka's season of The Bachelor at the final 4 because she had to choose between the show or work. She picked work -- and then picked The Bachelorette when ABC called, and then had to watch one of her final 3, Frank, quit the show for his girlfriend back home.

Hannah may be hurt by Luke S. walking out -- and the promo does see her asking Luke P. why no one there likes him -- but she has plenty of other guys to choose from. The Bachelorette 2019 continues Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC, as one of the many shows continuing into summer 2019.

Gina Carbone

Gina grew up in Massachusetts and California in her own version of The Parent Trap. She went to three different middle schools, four high schools, and three universities -- including half a year in Perth, Western Australia. She currently lives in a small town in Maine, the kind Stephen King regularly sets terrible things in, so this may be the last you hear from her.
