Disney+ is expanding! The popular streaming platform with kids is bowing in the UK, which means it is time for The Mandalorian to also debut. When the Star Wars series became available in the US, it did so weekly. Disney+ made this move unilaterally with its original series.

Thus, there was no opportunity to binge a season of a series like there is on Netflix. Will fans in the UK get to do what the US did not? Can they binge Season 2? When Disney+ launches in Europe on Tuesday, March 24, it will still become available every week.

Yes, even though Season 1 can be streamed in the US in its entirety, Europe will still have to wait from week-to-week for new episodes. There is a silver lining. The Mandalorian’s first two episodes will be available to stream on Day 1 of Disney+ launch in Europe, per Deadline.

Fans will not have to wait long to see Episode 3. It will go up a few days after the first two installments on Friday, March 27. This move indicates that Disney+ is doubling down on its weekly release schedule. It is an aspect that distances Disney+ from some of its fellow streaming services, including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Despite that, many reportedly consider Disney+ to be as good as Netflix.

Considering that The Mandalorian Season 1 (and Baby Yoda) can be watched in full in the US, the decision may be seen as a bit surprising. The Mandalorian started streaming in the United States all the way back in November 2019.

Four months later, fans in the UK are going to get the chance to see what many have been talking about (including Baby Yoda) when it comes to the Disney+ series. While they are waiting to see the very first season, fans in the US are looking forward to Season 2. The Mandalorian’s second season is probably not going to be delayed by the coronavirus.

Speaking of Season 2, Gina Carano recently shared a post about her wrapping filming on the installment, and it left fans concerned. For now, fans in the UK will be focused on the action that occurred in The Mandalorian’s first season.

It is jam-packed with the greatness that is Baby Yoda! The character’s popularity swept the internet with conversations and memes. Star Wars fans in the UK are in for a huge treat. Is there a bright side to having to wait from week-to-week for a new episode? At least there will be time to savor it.

The Mandalorian begins streaming in the UK Tuesday, March 24, on Disney+. The excitement will continue in Season 2. The next installment is currently set to arrive in October, so well after this winter and spring’s premieres.
