You can get a lot out of what Disney+ has to offer, and there may be some more exciting options on the way. Could live-action series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Modern Family be among those added to the streaming service? That is the question as Disney+ looks to the future of its library.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a cult favorite that has built a legendary fanbase as the cast has celebrated many milestones over the years. Meanwhile, Modern Family is readying to draw to a close after eleven seasons. Disney+ may be preparing to welcome those two shows and several more into the fold if a recent survey is any indication.

According to What’s on Disney Plus, Disney has run a survey to gauge subscriber interest in the comedies black-ish, How I Met Your Mother, and Malcolm in the Middle, along with the titles mentioned above. That is not all! The cult-favorite sci-fi series Firefly was also on the list! Does this mean Disney+ could soon welcome episodes of the series?

It is undoubtedly a move in a positive direction for Disney+ subscribers ready for more live-action content. Of the series mentioned, only black-ish is currently ongoing. Modern Family, while still airing new episodes, is set to leave the air during 2020. Also of note is that black-ish has spinoff shows that could potentially make great additions.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is one of the many animated offerings that Disney+ has. There are live-action TV options as well, especially in the Star Wars franchise with The Mandalorian. Could shows like Modern Family help Disney+ keep bolstering its live-action appeal?

It seems that Disney+ is interested in knowing if it is worth bringing the shows onto the service beforehand. Modern Family and Buffy the Vampire Slayer both have a considerable following, so they should be a big win. With Modern Family getting ready to end, Disney+ should anticipate that fans may grow nostalgic and want to binge earlier seasons.

Did enough people answer the survey positively for Disney+ to warrant bringing them aboard? Time will tell. Although you would have to imagine the affordable streamer will rely on more than a survey to make its final decision. One thing is for sure: if How I Met Your Mother ends up on Disney+, you can prepare for new reactions about its controversial ending.

Let the debate commence! I cannot see where Disney+ could go wrong adding Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Modern Family, and the other series that the survey mentions. There is a devoted audience for all of them, and you know what that means! More reasons for people to keep watching Disney+ besides Baby Yoda!

There is a lot of content currently on Disney+. While you wait to see if these live-action shows make it to the streamer, check out this spring’s premieres.
