90 Day Fiance's David Spent An Insane Amount Of Money On Lana

David 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days TLC

Warning! The following contains spoilers for 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days episode "Tell All Part 2." Read at your own risk!

It was another explosive tell-all episode on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, as Season 4's subjects all got together and talked out their drama. Things got messy, especially between Big Ed Brown and David Murphey when Ed took David to task on his relationship with his Ukrainian "fiancée" Lana.

Sorry to say David didn't do much to convince the 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days participants that things between him and Lana were different. David even confessed that he had traveled to Ukraine more times than viewers were aware of, somewhere in the ballpark of 20 plus times. David followed that by adding he's spent an insane amount on this relationship, like, an absolutely insane amount.

I mean to be honest, it's probably a quarter million to $300,000 or so.

The news was astonishing, especially to 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days viewers familiar with the situation. For those out of the loop, there was a question for many on whether or not Lana actually existed. There were theories she was merely a catfish account run by someone scamming wealthy men out of money through chat services on a website.

Lana shocked the world by proving she was real, and appearing in person to David for the first time in the seven years they've been in contact. David's attitude in the tell-all made it sound like that alone made the money well spent, considering the two are now engaged. Even that situation is a bit confusing though as David clarified that while he and Lana are now engaged, they are not currently together.

90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days' subjects all tried to stifle their laughter in regard to David's answers, minus Big Ed. Ed could not keep from openly mocking Lana's various excuses (despite his own drama in the special) for why she was still on the dating website despite their engagement, as well as the excuse that Lana could not use an iPhone because of how it felt with her nails.

David, you can't write this stuff! You can't make this up! Her nails are too long to use an iPhone? Oh my god...$300,000 and long nails? $300,000 and long nails.

David, of course, did not like being mocked by Ed. The exchange almost got David to leave the special (which took place over video chat due to stay at home orders), but cooler heads prevailed and Ed eventually eased up. At the end of the special David didn't seem like his opinion was swayed by any of the people desperately asking he consider he's being scammed, and it seems like he's still on board with making things work with Lana.

90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days is done for Season 4 at TLC, but the participants will get a chance to clap back at viewers' comments on the season via the spinoff re-watch series B90 Strikes Back, which starts Sunday, June 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
