So, you want to take a trip down memory lane but you can’t find the box of those iconic orange Nickelodeon tapes containing the greatest hits of all your favorite SNICK moments and classic Nicktoons? Today, more than ever, we have access to fan-favorite shows like All That, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and Rugrats streaming, meaning there’s no reason to get all bent out of shape after your mom threw out your old VHS tapes. Speaking of Rugrats…

With streaming services like CBS All Access, Hulu, and even Netflix hosting various seasons, movies, and specials featuring Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil, Angelica, and the rest of the cast of the oftentimes oddly dark children’s cartoon, there are plenty of places to turn to if you whenever you want to binge the entire series or jump to those iconic moments like Tommy’s adventure at a baseball game, the “Mirrorland” incident, and the showdown at Teeter Totter Gulch.

Where Is Rugrats Streaming

It is hard to believe, but Rugrats, which helped kickstart Nickelodeon’s animation domination in the early 1990s, ran for an impressive nine seasons before the show concluded its 12-year run in 2003. What’s even harder to believe is that you can log into your CBS All-Access or Hulu account and watch nearly every single one of the show’s 172 episodes right now. I say most because there are a few episodes missing from both streaming platforms, with the most notable omission being the Season 4 episode “Vacation.” This could have something to do with the use of The Go-Go’s 1982 hit song “Vacation” being featured prominently in the first few minutes of that episode.

You may also notice over changes to the placement of episodes in the latter seasons of Rugrats as some of those final years have been shuffled around compared to their original ordering. The first few seasons of the Nicktoon seemed to be relatively untouched from their original broadcast, however. That means you'll be able to see many of the times the tight-knit group of talking babies found themselves in grave danger.

Will Rugrats Be On Netflix?

If you were planning on watching all nine seasons of Rugrats on Netflix, I am afraid I have some bad news for you because the show is currently not available on the streaming giant. There is, however, at least one title on Netflix from the world of Rugrats. Speaking of which…

Even though you can’t watch Rugrats the series on Netflix, you can stream The Rugrats Movie, the franchise’s 1998 film debut that became the first non-Disney animated movie to ever cross the $100 million milestone at the domestic box office during its theatrical run (stream it on Netflix here). In addition to the action-packed and heartwarming tale of Tommy Pickles meeting his baby brother, Dill, Netflix subscribers can also stream the 2000 followup Rugrats in Paris: The Movie. The third movie, Rugrats Gone Wild is not available for streaming at this time.

Going back to CBS All-Access, the streaming service from Nickelodeon’s parent company, ViacomCBS, doesn’t offer any of the film releases, but the platform does feature the spinoff series All Grown Up as well as a couple stand-alone specials that were released in the years following the show’s original run.

Hopefully this helps you with your trip down memory lane to reconnect with that part of your childhood where you were absolutely obsessed with all things Rugrats.

Content Writer

Philip grew up in Louisiana (not New Orleans) before moving to St. Louis after graduating from Louisiana State University-Shreveport. When he's not writing about movies or television, Philip can be found being chased by his three kids, telling his dogs to stop barking at the mailman, or chatting about professional wrestling to his wife. Writing gigs with school newspapers, multiple daily newspapers, and other varied job experiences led him to this point where he actually gets to write about movies, shows, wrestling, and documentaries (which is a huge win in his eyes). If the stars properly align, he will talk about For Love Of The Game being the best baseball movie of all time.
