Jack Black Rocking Out To The Mandalorian’s Theme Song In Boba Fett’s Helmet Wins The Internet

Since its debut in the fall of 2019, Disney+’s The Mandalorian has become a cultural juggernaut. The adventures of Din Djarin (Mando) and the lovable alien known as Grogu (or Baby Yoda) have truly connected with audiences in a way that only Star Wars stories can. To put it simply, fans have been showing nothing but love for the show, especially since that massive season finale surprised them with an appearance from an iconic Star Wars character. The series also has a number of high-profile fans, including none other than Jack Black, who recently posted a clip showing him gleefully rocking out to the show’s theme song while wearing a Boba Fettt helmet.

Jack Black has truly been aiming to win the internet with many of the outrageous and hilarious videos he’s been posting on social media as of late. This includes a parody of the WAP dance, which you likely won’t be able to unsee. The Mandalorian-centric video Black posted to TikTok is a bit more tame, but it’s no less entertaining. Based on the clip, it’s more than clear that Jack Black loves The Mandalorian just as much as any fan. Watching him enjoy Ludwig Göransson’s amazing score is fun enough, but the Boba Fett helmet is a nice and nerdy touch.

The Mandalorian Season 2 did the impossible by being able to delight fans in a way that even the first season couldn’t. This was due to the show’s storytelling, action, heart and surprise cameos. That last aspect of the show included appearances from Star Wars: The Clone Wars characters like Ahsoka Tano and franchise legends like Luke Skywalker.

One of the things about The Mandalorian is that many of the folks who work on the show are actually Star Wars fans themselves. Producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are lifelong lovers of the franchise and appear to relish the opportunity to work within the cosmic sandbox. Katee Sackhoff, who reprised her Clone Wars role as Bo-Katan Kryze, also loves the franchise and has since been fangirling out and thanking viewers since making her live-action debut.

Likewise, Mark Hamill was thankful to have the opportunity to return as Luke Skywalker. The veteran actor initially responded to his cameo with a cheeky message on social media before taking the time to formally thank Favreau and Filoni for having him on the show.

The fandom is strong with The Mandalorian, and Jack Black’s latest video is only a reflection of the way in which the Star Wars series has permeated the pop culture zeitgeist. Although it appears fans will have to wait a while for Season 3, one can imagine that the energy will keep going strong until the show returns.

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are now streaming on Disney+.
