Spoilers ahead for the Season 7 premiere of The Flash on The CW

Season 7 of The CW’s The Flash has finally premiered and while Team Flash is still busy with Eva McCulloch and the Mirrorverse, another villain could be making a big return, although it's still up in the air as to the baddie who could be showing up in Central City. Showrunner Eric Wallace teased that an all-time favorite villain could possibly be coming back.

In response to the question of whether there are any returning villains for The Flash Season 7, Eric Wallace told TVLine that he wouldn’t rule out another big villain showing up after the Mirrorverse is done with, on top of the return of Ashley Rickards’ The Top in the season premiere. Without revealing too much, Wallace explained:

I would not rule out another big villain from the first three seasons — one of my all-time favorites — to appear in Graphic Novel No. 3.

Last year, Eric Wallace mentioned the Season 6 storylines going into Season 7 make the stories even stronger, being able to look at two separate things: the end of Eva’s story and the beginning of the next villain’s story, which the audience will get straight into once the Mirrorverse arc wraps up. Could the next villain be the return of a Big Bad from a previous season that Wallace talked about or a completely new foe for Team Flash to battle, with a returning villain later to come in Season 7?

Season 7 of The Flash continued the story of Eva McCulloch and the Mirrorverse, as well as Barry’s decreasing speed. The premiere episode included a devastating end for one fan-favorite character, though it won't be the last time fans see him. Meanwhile, Iris was still trapped in the Mirrorverse as Eva was watching over what was really happening and coming to terms with her surroundings.

Following Hartley Sawyer’s firing last year, Season 7 will also only bring in Ralph Dibny in order to resolve last season’s Sue Dearbon storyline, presumably utilizing the fact that Ralph can shape-shift his face in order to play off the recasting.

While not a villain, David Ramsey is set to reprise his Arrow role as John Diggle in Season 7 of The Flash. In the Arrow series finale, Diggle’s long-rumored destiny as a Green Lantern might have finally come true as he found a chest with a glowing green light after a meteorite came crashing down, indicating the start of something new. There hasn’t been much revealed about it, but it’s not out of the question yet.

Find out the all-time favorite villain who could make a comeback with new episodes of The Flash Season 7 on The CW on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
