YouTube And TikTok Star Jojo Siwa Breaks Down Long Distance Struggles With Girlfriend

Jojo Siwa is generally one of the most positive celebrities in Hollywood. From her spunky overall vibe to the plucky way she decided to come out, she’s been a source of brightness and courage through the pandemic. But even the most positive of people sometimes get a little sad, as happened this week when Siwa and her girlfriend Kylie Prew parted ways once more.

Jojo Siwa Admits She Doesn’t Like Saying Goodbye

While we’ve seen the star and her girlfriend meet up at places like Disney World over the past few months, the long distance reveal only came out recently. The former Dance Moms star shared a photo on social media that initially seemed to cause speculation among her fans as Jojo Siwa seemed emotional and upset in the image and captioned it “I don’t like saying goodbye.”

Fans began speculating that the two may have broken up, which prompted the YouTube star to clarify the situation. In a post Jojo Siwa shared on Instagram Stories, the star talked about her relationship and how the two don’t live in the same place.

You guys are confused why I was crying on my last story and I just have to clarify, nothing happened, we just are long distance and we had to say goodbye today and I'm sad. It happens every time we say goodbye and I wish we didn't have to ever, but we do and it just makes when we get to say hi to each other even more special.

The Wonderful Things Jojo Siwa Has Said About Kylie Prew

If you’ve been keeping tabs on the couple at all, things seem to be going very well outside of the whole distance issue. Given Siwa is only 17 she’s still under the watchful eye of her parents, Dance Mom’s Jessalynn Siwa and her dad Tom, and it may be a little while before the two could be closer together in terms of distance. Having said that, in general, things seem to be going well in the relationship.

At least Jojo Siwa has gushed about Kylie Prew any chance she’s gotten. She appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this year and had great things to say about her girlfriend while revealing how she ultimately decided to come out to the general public. She made a TikTok that she thought would out her, noting why she “didn’t mind.”

I think this is gonna out me. And I don’t mind, because it is true, I do have the most amazing, wonderful, perfect most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world. It’s not something I’m ashamed of. I just hadn’t shown the internet yet.

The TikTok and YouTube star also spoke out about how she’s had a wonderful relationship for months and about how her family and close friends were already in the loop before she ultimately decided to go public with her news, noting that even if “a million” people didn’t accept her relationship, she knows deep down that “100 million” would. Her “Born this Way” unofficial come out TikTok currently has more than 53 million views.

Since she’s shared TikToks and Instagram posts that are generally over-the-top positive about how things are going.

In general, coming out and young love are big, personal deals and probably even more so when they happen in the public eye. Jojo Siwa has gone through all the feelings related to both with her new relationship. While there may be some ups and downs, particularly when it comes to the distance component, she's asking that her fans don't fret. As she herself noted, the goodbyes may be the tough part, but there's always another "hello" down the road.
