The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne and her soon-to-be ex-husband Tom Girardi are facing a lot of woes of late. The couple is divorcing after 22 years together and both are subject to intense legal scrutiny pertaining to embezzlement allegations. In tandem, Girardi has been suffering from medical issues that resulted in the once-high profile lawyer being put under a temporary conservatorship. There's now an update on that front and, according to Erika Jayne, Girardi likely isn't happy about it one bit.
Fox News confirmed yesterday that Tom Girardi's temporary conservatorship officially became permanent on June 9. He was diagnosed with dementia/early onset Alzheimer's in March and his brother Robert has been appointed the conservator over Girardi's personal and financial matters. The update comes on the heels of Bravo's sneak peek view into tonight's episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In it, Erika Jayne talked with co-star Kyle Richards about her husband's mental state of mind, saying,
I hope someone is talking to Tom because he's not good…Tom is a proud man. One of the reasons that I filed for divorce is the resistance to anything. The resistance to a conversation, the resistance to, 'Hey, you know, I’ve noticed that you can't see well. What are you talking about, I'm fine!' No, you can't see well. You can't hear. You're fucking degrading in front of me and you're ignoring it.
Despite his cognitive decline being cited by his lawyers, the courts, and now by Erika Jayne herself, Tom Girardi is apparently still obstinate about last month’s permanent ruling. According to Law360, Girardi stated in court that he disagrees with the conservatorship and that it should be “dissolved.”
The sneak peek is the first time that Erika Jayne would be sharing more details about Tom Girardi’s health status and his legal trouble on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In previous episodes, the reality star mainly described her own journey of filing for divorce due to some kind of communication breakdown and previous callous treatment toward her. As the timeline of events catches up with the legal fallout in this episode, Erika Jayne shares,

Erika Jayne has been scrutinized by the courts in her husband's Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, as well as by the public. Just last week, a judge ruled that Girardi's previous clients could in fact sue her for debts owed to them.
