Ramsay To Judge Aspiring Cooks In New Reality Series

Because TV viewers can't seem to get enough of watching Gordon Ramsay scream at people about their culinary ineptitude, Fox is bringing yet another Ramsay series to the network. Fox announced today that the new culinary competition series is based on Ramsay's hit shows in the U.K. and Australia.

The working title for the new show is called Masterchef and, unlike Hell's Kitchen, which has seasoned cooks and chefs competing against one another to win Ramsay's favor and a job at one of his restaurants, Masterchef will feature cooking enthusiasts who have no professional training or background in the kitchen.

According to Fox's announcement, which unfortunately did not include audition info, Masterchef will feature contestants who love to cook as they compete head-to-head to create delicious dishes. As I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who think they've got the cooking skills to give them an edge in a competition like this, we'll keep an eye out for any information on when the casting process begins.

The network stated the following:

"Chef Ramsay will challenge and coach the amateurs all the way to the finish line. However, known for his explosive outbursts, he won’t be afraid to tell the chefs the cold, hard truth about their cooking along the way."
