Fox Set To Remake British Game Show

Later this summer, Fox will begin filming a game show called The Money Drop, which is an adaptation of a British game show from Endemol.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox picked up a pilot for a game show titled The Money Drop, which is being adapted from the format of the British game show The Million Pound Drop. As described by the Reporter, the British version played out over six consecutive nights and featured eight contestants who each received a million dollars when the show started. The catch was that they had to answer eight questions correctly in order to keep the money.

The Reporter went on to mention that British version of the show included “multiplatform format” that allowed viewers to play at home with virtual money. It seems probable that Fox will include something interactive to go along with the show if the project makes it to air.
