BBC America announced today that they’ve signed Cat Deeley to host (and produce) the two-part Royal Wedding special Royally Mad, which is set to premiere this April.

If you’re interested in the details surrounding William and Kate’s upcoming nuptials, BBC America is delivering the goods with a number of specials, including the previously aired BBC World News America specials, William & Kate: Modern Monarchy and Modern Monarchy: Here & There. And coming in April is Royally Mad, which will be hosted by So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley. Here’s what BBC America released on the two-part special:

Royally Mad features Deeley as a spirited tour guide taking four of America’s most enthusiastic Royal Wedding fanatics on a trip of a lifetime to London, where they will have a chance to indulge in everything Royal Wedding-themed and will ultimately experience their own fairytale ending. BBC AMERICA is partnering with the makers of Cash Cab, Lion Television, to produce the special and The Collective’s Christina Gualazzi and Jeff Golenberg will act as Executive Producers along with Deeley.

I’m thinking Cat Deeley’s participation in this special is a very good thing. If she brings half the grace, humor and enthusiasm she exhibits as host of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance to BBC America’s Royally Mad, we’re in for a real treat with this special.

The first part of Royally Mad will premiere on BBC America Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. Part 2 premieres Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
