Comedy Central's Workaholics Will Be Back to Work For Season 2

If you’re a fan of Comedy Central’s Workaholics, there’s cause to rejoice (or smile lazily if rejoicing requires too much effort). Comedy Central has given the series a second-season order. This news comes as Season 1 continues to air new episodes (including one set to air tonight at 10:30 p.m.).

Workaholics premiered early last month and according to Comedy Central, it’s currently the #1 show in its timeslot among men 18-24. The half-hour comedy series starring Mail Order Comedy’s Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, and Anders Holm follows a group of slackers who work together as telemarketers.

The series averaged 1.2 million viewers across its first four episodes, with the April 27th episode bringing in 1.5 million viewers, which was a series high. Comedy Central seems pleased enough to order more, giving the show a 10-episode order for Season 2.

"It's not only gratifying to know the audience for Workaholics has grown week-by-week, but also rewarding to see how the show is changing the way people live and work," said Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production at Comedy Central. "Pretty soon, our national productivity will be so low, we will all have more leisure time."
