With Elisabeth Hasselbeck out on maternity leave, the new season of The View is set to feature a number of guest-hosts in her place. Today it was announced that Kate Gosselin will co-host on the morning talk show for two episodes.

The star of TLC’s reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8 has been making plenty of headlines lately due to her messy split with her husband Jon. The news about her temporary hosting gig was posted on The View’s website, stating:

“Kate will be stepping into the chair of regular co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who will be on maternity leave, having given birth to her third child, Isaiah, on August 9th. Previously, Meghan McCain, E.D. Hill, and LaToya Jackson have been announced as guest co-hosts in the new season -- and Kathy Griffin and Victoria Beckham as guests.

The View's Season Premiere airs live on ABC, SEPTEMBER 8 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET). Gosselin’s episodes will be airing on September 14th and 15th.
