MTV Adds More Crap To Its Lineup

I often wonder how it must feel to be the MTV executives running the network over the past 10 years. How does it feel to turn a once socially vibrant part of Americana into the apathetic collection of unoriginality that it is today. It takes a special group of people to make MTV less relevant than E! Entertainment Network. That special group of idiots is again making moves to further trash the once great network.

Wednesday, MTV released details about “Fast Incorporated,” a new reality show that tracks the gear heads who find vintage cars that celebrities and millionaires want. Wow. That sounds remarkably uninteresting. I can’t even begin to figure out why MTV wants to show this. Shouldn’t this be following “American Chopper” on Discovery?

Even worse, MTV also plans on airing another Jamie Kennedy show. ‘Blowin’ Up,’ follows Kennedy and Stu Stone (whoever the hell that is) on a quest for hip-hop fame. Let me explain this better. Kennedy and Stone are TRYING to be rappers and they get advice from real hip-hop singers and music executives. I should give MTV credit for airing something that has some connection to music but geez. Jamie Kennedy? He’s a poor man’s David Arquette, meaning they are both equally lame but one gets to sleep with Courtney Cox.

Weep for the MTV you once loved. They turned their back on you and originality along time ago.
