Treme's Kim Dickens Joins Second Sight Pilot And More Casting News

It’s been a busy day for casting news, and several more casting announcements have been made on both CBS and ABC pilots. Treme’s Kim Dickens will join Jason Lee in Second Sight. Over at ABC, Revenge’s Ashton Holmes and The Story of Luke actor Lou Taylor Pucci have come on board the pilot for Reckless.

Deadline says Kim Dickens has signed on as a detective named Sammy in Second Sight. Prior to Treme, Dickens appeared on Friday Night Lights and in The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock.

The Michael Cuesta and Carol Mendelsohn project is based on a British series and follows a lead New Orleans detective, played by Jason Lee, who has an unusual ocular disorder that causes him to see strange things. Second Sight is described as a gothic psychological thriller, and it’s the second pilot this season to take the Big Easy as its dramatic setting; the Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals is set there as well.

Over at ABC, the Reckless thriller focuses on David, a man who will do anything to rescue his wife Sarah (Eloise Mumford), a woman who has been wrongfully imprisoned overseas in a political uprising. Holmes will play the role of Wyatt, David’s college friend who helps put him in touch with a mercenary, while Pucci will play a brother to Sarah. Pucci’s most recent TV role was a guest spot on Girls, but his career has been mostly in indie films. Prior to Revenge, Holmes appeared on Nikita. So far there’s no news on the lead for this pilot, but we’ll keep you updated.
