Since Paula Abdul’s announcement that she would not be returning to American Idol next season and Fox saying they were shopping around to fill her spot, there’s been some speculation over who might be the lucky woman to take over the job as a permanent judge on the show. Rumor has it, Victoria “Posh” Beckham” might be in contention for the job.

According to Extra, Beckham joined the Idol judges as a guest judge at the Denver auditions. In response to questions about whether or not she’d become a permanent judge, a representative said, “There are no talks of her being a permanent judge. They felt she was natural in Denver, did well with contestants.”

However, Extra went on to say that she went to that “spies reveal” that she flew to Boston with the Idol judges and if that’s confirmed, that would be the first time a guest judge appeared on more than one audition. So there’s a chance that the former pop-star might be getting comfortable in her seat at the judges table. Or Fox is just having a hard time landing guest-judges and asked Posh to come along to the Bean Town to lend her musical expertise to the Idol hopefuls there.
