The above promo, which features Vince Vaughn and SNL star Bobby Moynihan, reminds us that Vaughn will host Saturday Night Live this Saturday night. It's been a long time since Vince Vaughn hosted SNL. In fact, the last time the actor took the lead in an episode of the NBC sketch comedy series was in 1998, right around the time that the Psycho remake debuted in theaters. Vaughn played the lead role of Norman Bates in the film. It seems kind of fitting that he should appear on SNL now, with Norman Bates coming back into the spotlight through A&E's new drama Bates Motel.

Vaughn doesn't have any films set to arrive in theaters this month or next, but he has a couple of projects in the works, and considering his last appearance was almost fifteen years ago, his return seems long overdue. Vaughn's stuck mainly with comedies over the years, starring in The Dilemma and The Watch, among his recent films. Coming up, he's set to appear in A Case of You and The Internship. He's also reportedly set to make an appearance in Anchorman: The Legend Continues, presumably reprising his role as rivaling anchorman Wes Mantooth.

Vaughn follows Melissa McCarthy, who hosted Saturday Night Live just last weekend. She's certainly a tough act to follow, but something tells me Vaughn will figure out a way to deliver the laughs. Vaughn's episode airs April 13. Miguel will be the musical guest.
