Unfortunately, things didn't work out so well for Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 with the ABC comedy pulled from the schedule after struggling ratings. But on the bright side, it looks like star Krysten Ritter has already found her next role, and we could be seeing her back on the small screen come next season, should things go well for the NBC pilot Assistance.

TVLine says Ritter has been tapped to star in Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's comedy pilot for NBC. Assistance will star Ritter as Nora, "an idealistic 'working girl' assistant" who's trying to juggle her obligations to her job and "work husband" with her obligations to her fiancé and her attempts at a personal life and ambition to produce films. Described as a "magnetic, hyperactive workaholic whose sex appeal is dirtily proportional to her anxiety level," the role of Nora sounds like a good one for Ritter and not entirely identical to her last part. Though Ritter does tend to play peppy characters in general.

In addition to Don't Trust the B, Ritter's previous credits include Breaking Bad, Gravity and Veronica Mars, among other shows and some films, which - combined - demonstrate her range in comedy and drama. I actually really liked Don't Trust the B and Ritter's character Chloe in particular, who wasn't entirely a B when it all came down to it. As disappointing as the show's unofficial cancellation was, it's good to see she's already been snatched up for another project. We'll have to wait and see if this one moves forward when NBC starts making decisions about next season's new programming. It'll also be interesting to see who's brought in to play her fiancé and work husband.
