There's something unsettlingly familiar about the sight of Spartacus and Crixus at odds with one another. If you're caught up on Spartacus: War of the Damned (and if you're not, spoiler alert!), you know that there's been a divide between the two "brothers" in how they feel about the Roman prisoners. This fracture was made more apparent thanks to a few nudges from Caesar, who's slinking around the city, posing as a slave. The preview and clip we have to show you from this Friday's episode, "Blood Brothers," suggests that the situation is about as bad as it seemed at the end of last week's episode.

"Decimation" left a sizable mark among Spartacus' rebels and the wound is festering. That much can be gathered from the videos below. First, here's the preview, which suggests that Crixus is just as bitter as he was when "Decimation" left off, and Spartacus is planning a trip.

Should Spartacus be leaving the city while things are in such a bad place for his army? After all, it was his absence that allowed for Crixus to lead a slaughter of all of those Romans. Based on this clip, it looks like Agron may be filling the space at Spartacus' side.

I'm going to trust Spartacus' judgment on this, mainly because he usually thinks a step ahead. He's not unaware that Crixus has his own ideas about how things should work, or that there are people who agree with him. Let's just hope his departure doesn't lead to another attack on what's left of the Roman prisoners, for Laeta's sake. In the meantime, it looks like Agron's going to hold it down in the city. And, assuming he's not joining him and he's not still suffering a rock-induced headache, courtesy of Naevia, Gannicus should also be around to do his part to keep the (figurative) ship on course, not to mention Saxa, who's fully capable of handling herself.

Spartacus: War of the Damned airs Fridays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Starz.
