American Horror Story is coming back to FX this fall for Season 8 under the subtitle Apocalypse, and creator Ryan Murphy is getting a lot of his previous AHS players back together for this next go-round in hell on Earth.
USA’s Royal Pains is bringing in an American Horror Story star for a guest arc in Season 5 along with a number of other guest stars. Frances Conroy will come in to do a multiple-episode arc. Meanwhile, they’ve upped Ben Shenkman, who plays Dr. Jeremiah Sancani, to a regular role on the series, which started production on the new season just last week after being renewed back in September.
Frances Conroy is returning to American Horror Story for its Asylum season. The actress played a ghost in the series’ first season, which followed the Harmon family living in a haunted house, but since this season is set far before the ghost’s proposed year of death, the hit FX drama looks like it will have something else in mind for the veteran actress.
In its first season, American Horror Story was a drama full of fantastic performances on the part of its actors. Whether that’s the case again when the series returns for its second season remains to be seen. In the meantime, Frances Conroy, who played Moira on the FX drama, has moved on to her next TV project.
