Spartacus Blood & Death: 13 Epic Character Sendoffs

Throughout its three-season (plus prequel) run, Spartacus has featured some amazing characters with amazing stories and some especially memorable death scenes. In a series as violent and dramatic as this one, death is a near certainty. It's just a matter of when and how. We might go as far as to say that Steven DeKnight's drama has redefined how to write off a character in spectacularly bloody fashion. No one was ever truly safe from carnage on this series.

Spartacus War Of The Damned Episode 9 Promo: The Dead And The Dying

Following up on a devastating episode (Separate Paths"), last Friday night left us with a catch-up night featuring encore airings of previous episodes. That may have broken some of the momentum from the major ending of "Separate Paths" to what's ahead in "The Dead and the Dying," but I doubt we'll feel much of that when things get going on Friday night.

Spartacus: War Of The Damned Watch: Episode 8 - Separate Paths

Major spoilers if you haven't seen tonight's episode of Spartacus: War of the Damned ("Separate Paths"). Was the ending of "Separate Paths" especially surprising? No, not really. The installment being one of only three episodes left in the series and a bloody war growing ever bloodier, deaths were inevitable and it was only a matter of time before we lost someone major. But that didn't make tonight's final moments any less devastating. Given the events of the episode, I can't say I'll be disappointed to see Tiberius die bloody before all is said and done.

Spartacus' Manu Bennett Made Series Regular For Arrow Season 2

At this point, it's more than safe to say that Arrow is one of this season's success stories. It didn't take long for the CW's most recent comic-book inspired show to find a full first year order with the Season 2 renewal not far behind. And that means the next step is locking down cast members for the extended run. First, Emily Bett Rickard was promoted to series regular followed by a similar deal for Colton Haynes and now Oliver Queen's island ally has also been upped to similar status for the next season.

Gannicus Mouths Off, Flirts And Kicks Ass In New Spartacus War Of The Damned Video

Looking at Gannicus, Spartacus, Crixus and Agron as the four main male characters on the rebellion side of Spartacus: War of the Damned, there's a sort of balance among their personalities. Spartacus and Crixus are more the serious types, while Agron and Gannicus fall a bit more on the playful side. We saw Gannicus' ego flare up right from the start, and though I had my doubts about him when Gods of the Arena first debuted, it soon became clear that his bravado is just part of who he is.

Thank TV It's Friday: Reflecting On Our Favorite Friday Night Shows

It's Friday! And for some, that means the end of the work-week and weekend plans. For others, it's the day of Friday-night TV shows, including the return of Fringe and Grimm's move back to its regular time-slot. Some say Friday night is a bad night for TV, and granted, there's probably far less competition on the last night of the work-week than there is on any other weeknight. But that doesn't mean there's nothing to watch on Fridays.
