Raising Hope Cancelled, Season 4 Will Be Its Last

A move to Fridays is rarely a good sign for a TV show, which was the case for Raising Hope last fall. So while it's certainly disappointing news that the series has been cancelled by Fox, it's not entirely surprising, all things considered, as the family comedy saw a significant ratings drop from Season 3 to Season 4.

Raising Hope Season 4: A Look Back And A Look Ahead

Greg Garcia may have moved on to an overall deal with CBS, but his previous project, Raising Hope hasn’t gone anywhere. Sure, the series has been given a weirdly strategic November release date, long after most fall shows earned a premiere; however, an early look at the first few episodes tells us Raising Hope has not lost its touch for oddly specific pop culture humor.

The Mindy Project, New Girl And Raising Hope Renewed For New Seasons

The Following isn't the only Fox series to receive an early renewal. Freshman comedy The Mindy Project has also been given the thumbs up for a second season, as has Raising Hope and New Girl, which locks down the three Tuesday night comedies, and leaves room for a fourth, assuming Fox is still planning to continue airing two hours of comedies on Tuesday night (or some other night during the week).

Raising Hope's Greg Garcia Developing Two Pilots For CBS

CBS has ordered four more pilots, three of which are comedies and one, a drama. Two of the comedies come from Raising Hope creator Greg Garcia, while the third is from Happy Endings writer Brian Gallivan and produced by Friends With Benefits producer Will Gluck. The single drama among the pilot orders is The Ordained, which is being executive produced by Frank Marshall (producer of the Bourne movies) and comes from a writer new to television.

Raising Hope Teases Jimmy And Sabrina's Wedding

Fox has put together a “Save the Date” announcement for the couple’s impending nuptials. In the short clip, both Jimmy and Sabrina are dressed in wedding clothing—in Jimmy’s case, a moderately smart suit, and in Sabrina’s, a tacky lace dress—but despite the tacky organ music and the extraordinarily cheap use of a manila folder, something seems a bit askew. Namely, while Sabrina seems happy and carefree, Jimmy looks more than a little disgruntled.

Raising Hope Goes Back To The Future In This Week's Episode

Tomorrow night, Raising Hope goes Back to the Future, complete with a guest appearance from Doc Brown himself, Christopher Lloyd, and from the new promo Fox released, an attempt on the part of Burt and Virginia to take a DeLorean up to 88 miles per hour, a feat that may have been possible back in the 80s, but appears to be a bit of a challenge for today's DeLorean.

Mike O'Malley And Liza Snyder To Guest Star On Raising Hope

A while back, prolific TV creator Greg Garcia co-created a series called Yes, Dear with Alan Kirschenbaum. That series was a hit for six seasons, leaving many fans with fond memories of the show’s two lead couples, one of which was played by Mike O’Malley and Liza Snyder. Now, the famous twosome will play a couple once more on an upcoming episode of Garcia’s current comedy, Raising Hope.

Fox’s Raising Hope is a big fan of two-part episodes, and double the comedy means double the guest stars. Some moderate plot spoilers are explained, so only read on if you don’t mind.

The X Factor Cut To One Hour To Make Room For Oddball Tuesday Lineup

A few days ago, baseball's rain-out and subsequent rescheduling wreaked havoc on Fox’s schedule last week, and new episodes of The X Factor needed to be rescheduled. Raising Hope's Season 3 Premiere Is The First Full TV Episode Available Via Twitter

Fox has been pretty great in the past at making some of its comedy’s premiere episodes available to fans prior to the premiere’s official airing on television. This time around, Fox is giving Raising Hope the special treatment, and they are making the episode available via an interesting forum: Twitter.

Chris Klein To Guest Star On Raising Hope

Chris Klein spent his summer playing Jenna’s obnoxious boyfriend on FX’s Wilfred, but now that fall is approaching, he’s making the trip to network TV. His newest gig will take him to Fox, where he will appear in a Season 3 episode of the network’s half-hour comedy, Raising Hope. The role will land Klein smack dab in the middle of the Chance family's shenanigans (and probably even in the middle of their sagging couch)

Fox 2012-2013 Primetime Schedule Moves Glee To Thursdays, Introduces The Mindy Project, Mob Doctor And Others

Fox's 2012-2013 primetime schedule is up, and in addition to returning series The X Factor, Touch and New Girl, among others, the line-up also includes a handful of new series. This includes Mindy Kaling's comedy, which has found a fitting spot behind New Girl on Tuesday nights, and The Mob Doctor, which may fill the medical drama void left by House

Greg Garcia Moving To CBS TV Studios, Will Remain Showrunner On Raising Hope

Garcia has eked out a deal to work with CBS TV Studios for the next four years. It’s probably a big win for CBS TV Studios to nab somebody with such a weird voice and creative outlook, but does the studio change mean anything for the producer's current show over at Fox?

Raising Hope Preview: Nancy Grace Makes An Appearance

That’s right, folks, Nancy Grace is set to appear on tonight’s episode of Greg Garcia’s dysfunctional comedy. In this week’s episode, Grace won’t throw on a crazy disguise like earlier guest star Katy Perry; instead, she is set to play herself. Since Garcia enjoys making connections between former show My Name is Earl and Raising Hope, Grace will host a show within the show called Inside Probe.

Fox Renews Glee, Raising Hope, And New Girl

Fox has announced more renewals for next season, and it looks like Tuesday nights won’t be changing. Gleeks will be happy to hear that season four of Glee is assured (not that there was much doubt) while Raising Hope’s strong ratings have earned it a third season. Finally, newbie New Girl has been given a second season, again, not to anyone’s surprise I am sure.
