Witches Of East End Review: Lifetime's Bewitching New Drama Premieres Sunday

It's no secret that Lifetime aims their content toward a largely female audience, but just as no two women are exactly alike, it stands to reason that Lifetime would aim for diversity with regards to their scripted content. From Army Wives to Drop Dead Diva, Devious Maids and The Client List, none of these series is much like the with the exception of their mutual focus on women.

Witches Of East End Gets A Series Order At Lifetime

We learned last summer that Lifetime was developing a pilot based on Melissa de la Cruz's best-selling novel Witches of East End, and today comes word that the drama is going to series. That's just part of the good news. The rest is that it sounds like this witchy drama will make it to air at some point later this year.

Lifetime Orders Pilots For The Secret Lives Of Wives And Witches Of East End

Last last month, we learned that Lifetime was looking to expand on their growing list of original content by giving a series order to Marc Cherry's Devious Maids, a drama originally aimed for ABC but passed over by the network. ABC's loss may be Lifetime's gain. And now it appears the cable network is looking at two potential series adaptations for two books.
