First Trailer For Sundance Hit Smashed, Starring Aaron Paul And Mary Elizabeth Winstead
It's only been a little more than a week since the premiere of the Breaking Bad 2012 finale, but already the craving for more has gotten rather unbearable. In addition to the fact that fans were left with a huge cliffhanger, the simple truth is that the show is one of the most entertaining, brilliantly written programs on television right now, and there's not nearly enough of that going around these days. So it's not great that we'll have to wait until 2013 to see more Jesse Pinkman, but at the very least we will soon be seeing more of Aaron Paul.
Yahoo! has premiered the first trailer and poster for Smashed. Not only does the title have the benefit of having Paul as one of the central stars of the movie, but the film also got an incredible amount of positive buzz out of this year's Sundance Film Festival, particularly for the performance put on by the wonderful Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Check out both the preview and the first one-sheet below.
Co-written and directed by James Ponsoldt, Smashed follows the relationship between Kate and Charlie Hannah (Winstead, Paul), a married couple that has a relationship built on their mutual love of alcohol. When Kate goes too far with her partying one night, however, she decides that it's time to get her life in order and go sober. But what effect will that decision have on her marriage and her relationship with the people in her life? The film co-stars Octavia Spencer, Nick Offerman, Megan Mually, Mary Kay Place and Kyle Gallner and will be in theaters on October 12th.
