Orlando Bloom’s next project may be a team up heist film, with Liam Neeson and legendary Chinese action star Chow Yun Fat. The movie is called The Red Circle, and it’s being directed by well known Chinese filmmaker Johnny To.
According to the Chinese language news site AppleDaily, the movie is a remake of a 1970 French film of the same name. In it, the three actors will play robbers knocking over jewelry stores and casinos. It’s sort of a buddy movie, with the three criminals forming a friendship as they race to escape InterPol, hot on their trail.
It sounds like all three leadings actors, Bloom, Neeson, and Chow Yun Fat are all locked in. Johnny To is still looking for a female lead, but characterizes the role as less important, and is reportedly looking for an unknown to fill the part. They start shooting in June, with outdoor scenes to take place in Macau and another third of the film in Hong Kong.

I'm glad he's finally doing something. He said he wanted to take a break from acting on screen after Pirates 3 got through, and he did In Celebration in the West End Theatre (correct me if that's not the play he did.) But unfortunately, not all of his millions of fans (myself being one of them) could get to the West End in London to see it. I can't wait to see this if/when it comes out, hope this is true! CB is always pretty reliable, though.
