Subscribe To Community's Gillian Jacobs Joins Steve Carell In The Incredible Burt Wonderstone Updates
Since it was put on perpetual hiatus, many people are experiencing a serious case of Community withdrawal but thankfully, this week we got a double dose of Gillian Jacobs. The actress was last seen kissing both Keira Knightley and Steve Carell in the first trailer for writer/director Lorene Scafaria's Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World. Well, that kiss must have been something because Jacobs just joined Carell in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone for a role even more intimate.

THR reports that Jacobs was cast in the comedy about dueling magicians as a woman with whom Carell's titular character has a one night stand. Now, that might not sound like the juiciest of parts but Leslie Mann's role opposite Carell in The 40-Year-Old Virgin would sound even less glamorous and yet it's one of the most memorable moments of that Apatow comedy ("fuckin' french toast"). And besides, Jacobs has delivered in every episode of Community, with her amazingly awkward work as Britta standing out on a show full of stand outs.

Jacobs joins a pretty rad ensemble assembled for long-time television director Don Scardino's The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. The comedy is headed by Carell, Jim Carrey and Olivia Wilde but also features Steve Buscemi, James Gandolfini, Alan Arkin and Brad Garrett (not to mention rumored cameos from real life Vegas magicians David Copperfield and Chris Angel). The film follows a growing rivalry between Carell's Wonderstone, a seasoned illusionist, and the up and coming Steve Grey played by Carrey. After Wilde's Magician Assistant Jane jumps ship, Wonderstone is forced to re-evaluate his life and his love of magic... and apparently hop into bed with Gillian Jacobs. Sounds like a good deal.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone opens in 2013 and you can catch Gillian Jacobs on NBC's Community whenever it returns for the rest of the third season.
