Twin Peaks Goes Gold

We told you back in July about a rumored new Twin Peaks box set. Now it’s almost here and it looks to be quite amazing as Twin Peaks goes Gold.

The Twin Peaks Definitive Gold Box Edition hits stores on October 30th and features all 29 episodes remastered and restored, as well as an alternate pilot episode, “Greetings from Twin Peaks” postcards, interviews with the cast, crew, and creator, and more.

Most exciting for fans of the show is a selection of never-before-seen deleted scenes, offering additional information on characters and the storyline. Like all things Twin Peaks, the inclusion of this deleted material was approved by David Lynch. There’s also segments from star Kyle MacLachlin’s Saturday Night Live appearance, spoofing the series, music videos, photo galleries, and original promotional spots. Wow, that’s a lot.

Personally, I never got into Twin Peaks and its erratic release on DVD kept me disinterested from seeing what all the fuss was about. Now that I can get it all in one place, I very well might pick this up and make my first trip to Twin Peaks.
