John Carter Runs For His Life In New IMAX Poster
The reviews keep rolling in for Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and so far they've been overwhelmingly positive. In fact, Katey just posted her review in which she calls the film the best action movie of the year (having seen the film myself I can tell you that I wholeheartedly agree with her). It would seem that Brad Bird's transition from animation to live-action filmmaking has been an incredibly smooth one, but what about the other Pixar director about to make his mark? We're only a few months out from the debut of Andrew Stanton's John Carter and while nobody has seen the movie yet, it did just get a pretty badass new IMAX poster.
You can see the new one-sheet below and head over to Fandango to see it in high-res.
Unlike Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, none of John Carter was filmed using IMAX cameras, but after watching the trailer that debuted late last month its probably safe to say that the biggest screen you can find will provide the optimal viewing experience. In case you were wondering, the creatures that you see in the poster are called White Apes, and the titular hero must do battle with them while chained up in a gladiator arena.
The film will hit theaters on March 9, 2012 and stars Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, Thomas Hayden Church, and Willem Dafoe.
