Weekend Box Office

Easter’s over so America has swept away it’s latest biblical craze for vengeance. This weeks number 1, Volume 2. QT’s Uma fronted final “half” proved to be the true “punishment” everyone was looking for as it opened bigger than Volume 1 did in October.

As for the latest comic to get the silver screen treatment......well, it came a close second (compared to the rest of the list). Connie & Carla, debuted at lucky number 13, Cedric’s Vacation still held up, and Jesus got slam dunked. Last week we saw the resurrection of Mel’s Passion, now after a 72% drop and no more Jesus related holidays for another eight months, look for the flick to slowly go away until it’s DVD release. Next week chicks dig it Big as Jennifer Garner ages 17 years overnight and Denzel Washington goes “on fire”.
