The Super Bowl is obviously a very, very important time in the world of sports, but it's a pretty damn big one for the rest of the entertainment industry as well.

The star-studded, brutal new trailer for director John Hillcoat's cop thriller Triple 9 is so raw it makes End of Watch look like Police Academy.

With Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kate Winslet, Michael B. Jordan, Aaron Paul, Michael Pena, Teresa Palmer, and Gal Gadot already on board, you'd think that the upcoming John Hillcoat heist film Triple Nine would be done with its casting process, but apparently there was at least one more name that the production wanted to add before closing time.

The film centers on a group of corrupt policemen who find themselves on the wrong end of a blackmail threat from the Russian mafia, and are tasked with performing a dangerous and nearly impossible heist. The plan will involve setting up and taking down a rookie cop to draw attention from the rest of the force, while part of the dirty cop squad are across the city working on the actual job.

Triple Nine, written by newcomer Matt Cook, would star Hunnam as a police officer in L.A. targeted by a group of criminals who plan on murdering him in order to draw attention away from a larger crime happening elsewhere in the city.
