Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron G1 Trailer Recreates Iconic Scene From 1986 Movie

High Moon Studios and Activision released a new trailer for the pre-order G1 bonus pack for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. The trailer is a reenactment of Optimus Prime's iconic entrance in the 1986 film where he drives straight through the center of a warzone rolling over Decepticons and transforming in mid-air while decapitating bad guys with blaster fire to the face.

The trailer doesn't just reenact that scene with resounding accuracy (or as close as they could get using the in-engine assets) they even include Stan Bush's “You've Got The Touch”, which just makes it so much more awesome. Yeah, it's like basking in a torrent of nostalgia, so sue me.

You can check out the quick clip trailer below courtesy of Gematsu.

That trailer alone almost makes me want to pre-order the game from GameStop. Fans of the old-school Transformers from the 80s who want to relive a bit of those old memories in the form of an HD video game are probably already reaching for the credit cards.

You can unlock the G1 Retro Pack from GameStop right now prior to the game's August release by pre-ordering the game over at GameStop's website. Everyone else can wait for the game to launch on August 21st at a retailer near you for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. For more info feel free to visit Transformers: Fall of Cybertron's Official Website. Oh yeah, and for reference purposes, here is that same scene from the trailer above, in the 1986 animated movie.
